I am sarcastic, indubitable, and slightly cracked.

My Self-Summary

Well, I'm a human being who cooks, cleans, makes music, makes stencils, brews beer, bakes bread, drives a car, works a job, goes hiking, goes biking, eats, sleeps, (insert unmentionable body functions here), watches movies on the tele, reads, travels, skis, and resides in a place often mistaken for "Upstate New York." Upstate is actually somewhere several hundred miles from here, but what's a few hundred miles between friends? I like people who can do many things. Specialization is for insects.

What I’m doing with my life

Being alive. Fighting evildoers. Saving the planet. No, that's Captain Planet. Think Huck Finn crossed with Captain Planet. No, that's not it either. Please refer to "My Self-Summary" for further clarification on "my life" and "what I'm doing with it."

Also, today I am looking forward to several trips away from home before 2010 begins.

I’m really good at

Sarcasm. I'm just out of practice.

The first things people usually notice about me

I wouldn't know. Ask me again when I've been someone else for a while.

Oh, little kids usually notice how tall I am. I think that's because of how short they are.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm a big fan of "The Tin Drum", "Stranger in a Strange Land", "Cats Cradle", and "Huckleberry Finn."

I think Westerns should be moved to the comedy section in the movie store. Film Noir should probably end up there too. 75% of all romantic comedies produced in the United States could find an equally valuable purpose in creating new land in Lower Manhattan. Can you say "Battery Park City 2"? Show me a well made movie, and I'll show you an appreciative audience.

Ask me about the Beatles or The Kinks. Ask me about Godspeed You Black Emperor, The Surf Coasters, or the Cracow Klezmer Band. Please reference your local library for Dave Brubeck, Clifford Brown, Max Roach, and Art Blakey.

I like to eat. I'll try anything at least once. Ask me about some of the nasty stuff I've tried.

The six things I could never do without

1. My guitar
2. My bicycle
3. Access to a fully equipped kitchen
4. Books. Lots of them.
5. A core group of loving friends
6. black plague

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My job, my band, my friends, celeriac (not going to lie here), what I'm going to cook for dinner.

On a typical Friday night I am

Relaxing with a beer somewhere. There just ain't that much to do in pseudo-Upstate. Now if I go somewhere else, oh boy! Then things start really cooking. Otherwise, I'm likely cooking dinner and relaxing with a beer somewhere.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Didn't I give enough away already? You ask me anything you want in person, and I'm like as not to tell. Online? What do you think this is? A Cuisinart? I ain't publishin' nuthin' where all y'all can see it.

You should message me if

You feel like it. Heck, send a message even if you don't. I ain't gonna bite your head off.
