I am an IT Project Manager by profession, but beverage consulting is my life's calling. I love entertaining, although I haven't hosted as many events as I used to.

I have a great ear for music, and even trained as an audio engineer, specializing in audio post production and sound for film. Ironically, I don't play an instrument.

I love hats. I now wear a fedora because of a mishap with my black Kangol cap. This is one of the reasons I like winter - more excuses to wear hats. I wish I could wear a Beret, but I'm afraid this is one of the only situations where I feel self-conscious - wearing a hat that I feel doesn't work.

I'm working on a master plan for world domination. And wishing for the return of slow zombies. They were scary enough.

Not that I'm afraid of any stupid old zombies...

Laughing. Making people laugh. Dancing. Knowing how to make you the perfect cocktail - the one that is perfect for the occasion. Whatever the occasion.

I also make very good Borscht. Blini too. Infaxt, I'm a damn good cook, in general.

Either my lazy eye or my snaggle tooth.

Music: too many musicians to count. My all-time favorite genre would probably be jazz - Charlie Parker, especially. Right now, though, I'm listening to a lot of Muse on the one hand, and Two Man Gentleman Band. My musical tastes are even broader than that, too, ranging from Public Enemy (just saw their Gods of Hip Hop tour), to GWAR (can anyone say guilty pleasure?).

Books: Neal Stephenson, Pushkin, Nabokov, Hemingway and Frank Miller in the fiction, and I love reading cocktail books and books about the lore surrounding ardent spirits - David Wondrich, Crosby Gaige and Charles H. Baker, Jr., to name a few.

Movies: Yes, please!

Right now I have a couple things up my sleeves, including a food blog and ideas for growing my beverage empire.

Out on the town or at home with friends. Most often at one of DC's great bars. Nothing typical about my Fridays, though.
