I am eccentric, intelligent, and artistic.

My Self-Summary

Long story shortened: I haven't dated since May. On a whim, I've decided to stretch my social skills and see what happens. Writing and reading are two major interests of mine, but I'm a walking movie encyclopedia, so be forewarned. I'm an expert in all things trivial and am a professional bridge burner by trade. A good sense of humor is very important to me, as well as ambition and honesty. I've been in far too many long-distance relationships, so I'm really only interested in getting to know people within my area. If you a.) love movies b.) are artistically inclined or c.) are a decent person in general... please do give me a shout.

What I’m doing with my life

Teetering between euphoria and barely awake. Trying to find a balance therein.

I’m really good at

Diffusing awkward situations, which is convenient as I often find myself in such a situation. Making people laugh, mentioning random facts that may not fit the conversation, telling you anything you ever wanted to know about films, reading without moving my lips, being quiet in museums and libraries, balancing a book on my head, pretending I'm awake when someone calls me at 3AM.

The first things people usually notice about me

Sense of humor and probably height.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'll list the current favorites...

Book: Lincoln's Melancholy

Movie: Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Band: Say Anything, The Beatles, Tom Petty

Stay tuned for changes.

The six things I could never do without

Music, laughter, poetry, diet soda, books and shampoo. Definitely shampoo.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

"I want to taste the breeze of every great city." - Say Anything

I hate that I consider cold, gray weather so romantic and there's a chill outside as I write this. Being wistful is wasted when you're by yourself.

I wonder when I'll be in my career and never wonder what profession I'll end up in next. If I'll live up to the expectations I set for myself. Why no one enjoys poetry anymore. How people can find stupid and/or British humor not funny.

On a typical Friday night I am

Writing with an ipod blasting my eardrums.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I spend way too much money on perfume.

You should message me if

I haven't annoyed you by now.
