I am philosophical, passionate, and friendly.

My Self-Summary

Hi. :)

Thanks for taking a look here. I am a father, an accountant and soon-to-be returning student over at Cal State Northridge, who likes to have fun getting to know people.

I am a good communicator, and am a very good listener. I am looking for people to include in my life for at least strong friendship, and if it evolves into anything more than this, I am open to it with the right person.

Living in the moment is important to me, but I do not do so at others' expense. I definitely go my the rule of virtually everything is good, so long as it is in moderation, and does not get to excess...not too often anyway ;)

Anyway, this is me in a nutshell. :)

What I’m doing with my life

I work a lot, which is part of why I am here, but fortunately, I have now found myself in a position where I will be able to do more at night that I have been used to before, so this is why I am wanting to meet more people.

I have my son every weekend, so I go out during the week at night. I am at a good point in my life, where I am happy with my job, happy with the friends I have, happy with myself, and now looking to find a partner-in-crime who appreciates me for all that I am and all that I am not, and someone who would expect the same of me. I also think that one can never have too many friends, so this is not a bad thing either.

I’m really good at

Going with the flow and rolling with people and who they are, what they think, how they behave, etc.

Taking calculated chances when there is a chance for something better.

Board Games: Enjoy Scrabble, Boggle, Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit the best, but definitely up for other games also, certain video games for example. The only kind of games I truly despise are mind games of any kind.

Poetry...if you are curious about this, let me know. I have been told that I write well.

Critical Thinking

Staying true to my heart

Laughing loud, not inappropriately so, but I enjoy a good laugh if something really strikes me as funny or ironic.

Being a good friend and a good listener, which is very important to me, and I take a lot of pride in it.

The first things people usually notice about me

My combined height and size. Maybe my hair (about a 1/3 of the way down my back)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Have read a few books lately...am usually into things that are historical, biographical, philosophical or psychological. Stuff I have read lately: Schultz and Peanuts - David Michaelis, Braindroppings - George Carlin, Great Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe - Edgar Allen Poe

Movies: Star Trek (2009), The Dark Knight, The Kid (Charlie Chaplin), V For Vendetta, Dangerous Liaisons, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poet's Society, Rosemary's Baby, A Few Good Men, 12 Angry Men, Treasure Of The Sierra Madre, The Reader, Citizen Kane, Silence Of The Lambs, The Godfather 1 & 2, American History X, Stranger Than Fiction, Die Hard (All 4 movies), The Dreamers....lots of stuff here. Not into romantic comedies or Disney movies geared for kids younger than my son.

TV: South Park, Total Drama Action, Family Guy, The Simpsons, The Grim Misadventures of Billy and Mandy, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Sportscenter, Inside The Actors Studio, All In The Family, The Amazing Race...I am sure there are more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. :)

Music: Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, Green Day, Beatles, Morrissey / The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Lacuna Coil, The Killers, Metallica....lots of stuff. My tastes run far and wide here minus hip-hop, rap or country and some forms of jazz.

Food: I like American, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Brazilian...lots of stuff. Not afraid to try something new.

The six things I could never do without

1) The love I have for my son
2) Friends
3) Passion
4) Entertainment (movies, music, etc.)
5) Communication (Internet, Phone, etc.)
6) The desire to make life extraordinary.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Being the best that I can be in as many ways as I can be

Wanting to meet more people who understand me, not because I am unsatisfied with being by myself, but because it is more fun to go through life with people who can see things through your eyes and vice versa.

If there's any time for anyone to purchase a house for one's self, it is in this economy.

On a typical Friday night I am

With my son. Having fun establishing the kind of father-son relationship that I did not have.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am not willing to admit anything here. It is called private for a reason. :)

You should message me if

You can see some of what you like in the things I like.

You enjoy passionate people, and are very passionate yourself.

You are clear about what you want in life and what you want from people.

You are a geek and a nerd like me without any shame in your game. :)

You are not one who who laments about your past, and worries about your future, but prefers to appreciate the present and make it as great as possible.

You are looking for someone to be honest and will not be overly guarded to where the image put forth becomes a false personna.
