My self-summary
My friends describe me as a 'nice guy.' - but I aim to be a Renaissance man. I have a good sense of humor and often make jokes...but If you hate sarcasm or ball-breaking, you may dislike a few of them. I tend to joke and laugh a lot and can be a bit of a goofball, in some settings.

I love to work, and am very focused on my career. I love my job and my field, and am very passionate about politics and government. I have a secret passion for Near East/South Asian (AKA CENTCOM) international relations. My driving force and goal is to help as many people as possible and to enact legitimate positive change on the world. I suppose I am an idealist.

My interests are extremely broad and varied, but I will try to name a few of them. I enjoy hiking and the outdoors, but also enjoy curling up inside with a book or a good movie. I love all things science, space, and technology, and tend to geek out a bit over it. I am a bit of a foodie. I enjoy going out to the bar for a drink or two with friends, or the museum, as much as I like curling up next to the fireplace or TV with good wine and company. I love parties, but do not dance very well; men my size are not made for dancing. I am formerly an English major and retained the minor, so tend to get excited over oxford comma's and Shakespeare.

I dabble in geeky stuff like computers, video games, reading (alot) and literature of all types, especially classical, fantasy, scifi, and political; Geo-caching, writing, bowling, football, and theater/musicals. I love history, technology, and science (especially space), and have the bad habit of 'googling' anything I do not know the answer to. I'm totally open to new things, new hobbies, and new adventures. I want to travel everywhere some day, and have begun planning an extravagant future retirement. It's always good to have a goal at the end of the road to keep the sometimes crazy number of hours I work in perspective! I stick by my friends, and care for those around me.
I’m really good at
logical deduction, lighthearted pranks on friends, winning arguments.

The six things I could never do without
1) Friends and Family
2) Love
3) Food/water (hard to survive without 'em!)
4) A goal
5) A computer
6) Cell phone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work - I love my job!
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, usually! But if not working, my favorite thing to do is hang out with one of my groups of friends. Bonfires, movies, walking around the city, whatever! I also like to relax and loosen up a bit after work and go to the bar for a social drink with friends. I rarely drink to excess. Also, sometimes (often!) it's nice to stay in and just watch a movie or mess around on the computer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
-I sometimes sing when alone in the car. Badly.
-Also, I want to vacation in space some day. The cost per pound of a payload to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) is decreasing!!
