I am thoughtful, strange, and often silly.

My Self-Summary

The boring stuff:

I'm about 5 feet 10 inches tall on a good day. I'm can be a huge geek about things like environmentalism, theater, sci-fi, books, history, et cetera...I like really good beer. I will drink cheap beer. I like waking up and falling asleep to good music. And, I don't like sharing too much about myself online.

Top 5
1. Metaphysical discussions
2. Riding my bike
3. Real wit
4. Fellow adventurers
5. Singing

Bottom 5
1. Women who just want to be entertained
2. Willful ignorance
3. Bitter old people
4. Apathy
5. The internal combustion engine
Now in Tagalog
Ito ang panahon ng pakikipagsapalaran sa mundo. Balang araw, uuwi din ako at ipagmamalaki ko na tunay akong nabuhay.

What I’m doing with my life

The not so boring stuff:

Right now I'm selling electric bikes. It's not glamorous but I'm good at it and it pays the bills quite well. Most important, it gets people from driving cars, making more smog, using gas and killing kittens.

Actually I'm not sure about the kittens. But it's in the brochure.

On the whole, the experience of living is basically what's occupying most of my time. I even have a to-do list. It goes: learn how to play the harmonica, do a play, Yoga (couldn't find a class that fit my budget and schedule so instead I'm taking Judo again), speak Japanese, speak Spanish, read read read, write write write...

I’m really good at

1. Organizing (Stage Managers know what's up.)

2. Origami

3. Giving massages

4. Finding things (It's a strange and useful ability.)

5. Learning

The first things people usually notice about me

are my voice and whatever printed t-shirt I'm wearing.

Years of theater has left my speaking voice on a nearly permanent "can-you-hear-my-baritone-in-the-back?" mode.

I used to collect t-shirts with prints on the front. I still have one that says SCHADENFREUDE and one from a children's play called Han Solo and Gretel.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Literature: Everything Terry Pratchett's written, High Fidelity, Pugad Baboy, Watchmen, American Gods, Fight Club, Syrup, Touching the Angel, Sandman, Choke, The Book of Job, all five books in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy, Plato's Republic, Cyrano de Bergerac, Man of La Mancha, The Prince...

Music: Good lyrics regardless of genre, the Weakerthans, the Eraserheads, Ang Bandang Shirley, Stephen Sondheim, Erin Kamler, Brain Salad, Frank Turner, Freddy & Francine, Matt & Kim, Local Natives, Gloc 9, Francis M, the Beatles, sweetafton23, Danielle Ate the Sandwich, Bruce Springsteen...

Moving pictures: Amelie, Dogma, Ringgu, Stranger Than Fiction, Anak ni Zuma, The Godfather, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Tropic Thunder, The Dark Knight, Ang Panday, Tekkonkinkreet, Ghost in the Shell, Hero, Seven Samurai...

Food: fast, fine, exotic, street...

On a typical Friday night I am

hopefully achieving an appropriate level of mischief.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

is that I've been unsuccessfully mugged 6 times in my life.

I'm kind of proud of that.

You should message me if

you want to get up and do stuff.

Although, you know what would be ideal? If you found the following fact interesting: the human brain has lag time. Do you know what that means? If you do and you think it's fascinating, message me. If you don't and you want to find out why it's so interesting, message me. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm looking for the right kind of personality.
