My Self-Summary
It might say something about me that, despite being the only girl on my team at work, I'm still the most likely to catch the "that's what she said" moments. It's rather important that you recognize the origin of that phrase; name that movie!
When I earned the result of "shock jock"/vulgar, spontaneous, and dark for my humor style from a test on this site, I did a little self-reflection... then I decided, that is totally me (except I would NEVER play that particular "joke"). I get a kick out of saying scandalous things and watching the reactions of those around me. No one outside of my closest friends expect anything but sweet, nice, polite things to come out of my mouth, and, most of the the time, that is what you get. BUT, from time to time, it's fun to give them the shocker (innuendo intended).
My blood type is A+! I am a registered organ donor and dedicated blood donor. I donated blood for the first time 3 days after my 17th birthday (when you're first allowed to donate, with parental permission, in Arizona), and donated about as often as allowed until I left for Africa last year. I'm currently serving my 1-year waiting period after traveling to a malaria-ridden area before I can start donating again.

The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I read them. My favorite is usually the last book I read that I enjoyed even only a little bit. A Wrinkle in Time is the only book I can think of that I've read more than once. We can call that one my favorite for now.
Every Tuesday, I read a chapter or two of a random book not of my own choosing. Anything from a world religions textbook to a psychological biography of Bill Clinton to tween literary masterpieces like Molly Moon Stops the World. I strive to make that the lesser chunk of what I read in a given week, though don't always succeed. DailyLit has me reading Pride and Prejudice. (I'm a girl with at least 90% English-major friends who have high expectations of my non-English-major literary knowledge.) I finally finished Anna Karenina, so right now, I'm reading My Lobotomy by Howard Dully. A slight change in topic/style/genre...
Movies:
Is it playing at the Drafthouse? All time favorite is the Wizard of Oz; other greats are Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, The Big Lebowski, Steel Magnolias, Smokin' Aces, etc. I love movies, so chances are, if it's not anime, I'll watch it. If you don't mind me doing something else while we watch, you might be able to convince me to watch anime, though. Ooh xmas season is coming; a Bad Santa viewing is in order...
Music:
My taste in music is varied and ever-changing; my current Zune playlist of choice includes:
Bleeder - True Widow, Imma Star - Jeremih, Missy - The Airborne Toxic Event, Ghetto Love - Spinnerette, Auberge Le Mouton Noir - Do Make Say Think, Spaceman - The Killers, Uprising - Muse, Je Veux Te Voir - Yelle, Goodbye Horses - Q Lazzarus, Echo - Incubus, Flightless Bird, American Mouth - Iron & Wine, and Midnight Train to Georgia - Gladys Knight.
Food:
Thai, Indian, Mexican, Chinese, whatever really. Bonus points for vegetarian options, though. In a word: spicy.
The six things I could never do without
Sudoku (I have yet to meet a grid I couldn't complete)
Sweet Leaf Mint and Honey Green Tea (most delicious virgin beverage)
Spearmint gum (mmm fresh breath)
Sunshine (mmm vitamin D--I grew up in the desert)
hmm, it seems I need another S-word...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
And how to say what I just said/thought in one of my other languages, and then lamenting losing vocabulary with lack of practice in all of my languages.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
You should message me if
... or if you are not a registered organ donor and want to hear me rant and rave about what a selfish prick you are. Or you just need some tips on how to become one.
... or if you noticed that I've taken 23 tests, and answered 456 questions. I only wish it would be okC-acceptable to have only 1 picture so that it would be 123456. Or if your numbers are something cool/planned, and you want to tell me about it. NEVER MIND. They changed things up so you don't see the numbers like you used to. I miss the good ol' days when "visitors" were called what they are--stalkers.
... OR if you speak French, Italian, or Zarma and would like to parler, parlare, or salan. Especially parlare or salan. :)
