My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just reactivated my account after a hiatus of sorts, and ready to meet someone again.

I've got a good job, a car, my own place and now I'm just looking for an awesome woman to share my life with that is willing to share hers with me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was born in Canada, and moved here 16 years ago with family so I've effectively been raised in LA.

I'm currently working in sound mixing for TV and film, also starting to get back into music production as a side gig. I used to produce hip hop music (yes, commercially released stuff) but then made a career change a while back.

I'm also a big fan of MMA and I write articles at a small but up-and-coming site about the sport.

I also just moved to DTLA from Hollywood, I'm liking it so far.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hunting wolverines. They keep trying to attack my cousins.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Ramen from Daikokuya, Watchmen, Hannibal, Wong Kar Wai flicks, French New Wave films, pretty much anything from the Criterion Collection, Good hip hop music, some select EDM type stuff, some hardcore like Glassjaw, At The Drive-In, some more synth pop type stuff like M83 and Future Islands.. I have really eclectic tastes in pretty much everything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Does anyone have an answer to this that isn't snarky and/or lame? I could say like oxygen, water, food etc or boilerplate stuff like family and friends and bla bla bla.. Actually I take that back though because I've seen some good ones lately, it's just a question of how literally you take it, like is it stuff where you'll actually cease to exist if you don't have it, or just stuff that leaves you with enough of a sense of fulfillment that you feel life wouldn't be anywhere near as worth living without it. It's incredibly subjective. And when you get to that point it can be so hard to narrow it down.

But I guess I'll try to answer this sincerely even though it'll probably be just as lame:

1. Music - any kind really, I just love the stuff that sometimes gives you that tingly feeling which is basically your brain releasing endorphins into your bloodstream.

2. Movies - The best films that leave an indelible mark on your psyche and heart that you'll never let go of.

3. Video Games - yeah laugh it up, but at least for me throughout my life, there have been quite a few great gaming experiences I have had that are just as transcendent to me as the greatest films I have seen, and for myriad reasons that run the gamut from great storytelling that gets you involved in a way that film inherently can't do, to just great raw gameplay experiences, be they solitary ones or those enjoyed with others.

4. MMA - Yet another one that can be laughed off by those who may be not as familiar with it. At its worst it can be insanely boring, some guy laying on top of another guy trying to run the clock down to get a win on their record which means little in the grand scheme of things since they were effectively gaming the system, so to speak. There are also definitely some undesirable aspects to it in the way it has been marketed historically, leaving a history of bad t-shirts, really bad music and an arguably misogynistic bro culture in its wake; but at its best, when some of the fights that happen between two competitors who are actually fighting each other in good faith, attempting to finish each other via KO or submission, the result can be incredibly dramatic and exhilarating.

When I think of a couple other good ones I will add them.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to not let things in life that are out of my control consume me. It's a constant struggle. Just remembering that all I can do is be the best me that I can be and to accept the results, and try to make the best of life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't really have a typical Friday night, it could be anything.. depends what my friends are doing and what I have going on.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You don't admit private stuff on the interwebs, come on now. To someone I care about, I am basically an open book however, so get to know me and I'll fill you in.
