I'm fairly practical and tend to err spending my time building skills and things of lasting value, though I'm always looking for the next audacious adventure to sprinkle in. Cooking is a passion and backyard gardening is something I miss. I love to engineer solutions out of scrap and am just as comfortable building a computer as I am working with wood. Pickling, painting, love my miter saw to death and have spent extended periods camping. There's a particular wonder to that you make on your own, the path you clear yourself, integral self discovery, which I just can't live without.
I'm an introvert, an INTJ if that means anything to you. For me, that translates as being more patient and methodical than quiet or reclusive; I love people and the focused social, like lindy hop or board games, but do work better building deep relationships one-on-one than in large groups. I cherish deeply those who are willing to push boundaries, challenge ideals, and are comfortable being challenged right back.
I also happen to be an SF native, with fond memories of a childhood spent exploring every literal nook and cranny of western golden gate park and the blissful ignorance of warm beaches that left me content building sandcastles in the fog.
