SF Native, born and raised.
I garden, I cook, I build things out of scrap wood and am fully packed for some long term camping, be it spur of the moment or tragically 8.0 induced. I pickle and paint and wish there were a hundred other things I could list.

I'm fairly practical, more ant than grasshopper, so I tend to spend my time building skills and creating things of lasting value. Things are imbued with a particular wonder when done yourself, doubly so when shared with another.

That being said, most of my free time is spent lounging on a couch, perusing the oddities the internet has to offer, gobbling up media and enjoying food. I can be pretty active when the mood strikes, but I'm just as comfortable sitting around and doing nothing ... particularly when it's on purpose!

I am looking for someone to do amazing things, build wondrous things with. Life is full of such amazing potential, but I don't want to get too far on my own.

I do antiviral research at a local biotech. Fascinating career, steals tons of my time, makes me smile.

Went back to a shared living situation so I can start funneling tons of money away for some wonderful but yet unspecified future. Maybe I'll work towards buying a house ... or a boat ... or a house boat ... or 40 acres of land to farm ... or not farm. Perhaps I'll build a food forest inside an urban setting, or outside an urban setting, or build an urban setting around a food forest. Maybe I'll just give up at some point and give it all to charity, or start a charity, or do some good with it and forget the whole label of 'charity'.

Finishing what I start. I don't like half finished projects.

The default pronoun I refer to strangers as, is 'friend'.

I love compelling plot, interesting characters and moving drama. Dr. Who, Ikiru, Madadayo, and anything by Miyazaki, Kurosawa or Joss Weddon. Babylon 5, Avatar:TLAB , The Wire, GoT and so on (if your favorites aren't listed ... chances are I watch it, or want you to introduce it to me)

Books:

Harry Potter, concept pieces like Flat Land or Dragon's Egg and I still open up the Prince or the Discourses to this day. I like to pretend I'm having a conversation with Machiavelli. Wouldn't that be neat?

I eat fruit in the shower. No care need be given to avoiding the sticky mess of a juicy plum or a dripping orange when you can immediately clean up after. Just bury your face into the flesh!
