My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Enneagram 8:

I'm happily married - but life is very short and the world is full of amazing people. My partner and I are trying to live with fewer boundaries and hearts more open to discovering what the world has to offer. My partner's name is mollwalk and she is here on OKC, so give her a look.

I live in an intentional community in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. mollwalk and I began experimenting with polyamory a year ago when she fell in love with a mutual friend who lives in our community. Now we are exploring our boundaries and trying to welcome as much love and affection into our lives as comes our way.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Not math, that's for sure.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading people. Making rum cake. Putting my foot in my mouth. Making people feel like they are the only one in the room. Falling inappropriately in love with the wrong people. Wearing my emotions on my sleeve. Appreciating theater - especially when in involves my talented and lovely wife. Cooking fish. Seriously - I have some killer fish dishes. Lately, loosing weight. I've lost 20 lbs and have 20 more to go to get back in good shape.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm fat. Also, the tattoo. If you get past those things, its the twinkle in my eye and the razor in my wit.

I can be a little awkward at first but as I warm up I become the life of the party.

Does anyone read this section? Seriously? **EDIT - Several of you have written to inform me that I'm an idiot. Yes, apparently, people do read this. Fine. **

I read voraciously. My Kindle is my best friend. I'm indiscriminate and insatiably curious, which makes it hard to pick favorites. Don't make me pick among my children! Here are the books I've read in the last thirty days:

The Elements of Journalism: What Newspeople Should Know and the Public Should Expect, The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference, Predictive Analytics: The Power to Predict Who Will Click, Buy, Lie, or Die, Reinventing You: Define Your Brand, Imagine Your Future, Rework, Stations of the Sun:A History of the Ritual Year in Britain, Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft, Drawing Down the Moon: Witches, Druids, Goddess-Worshippers, and Other Pagans in America, Warbreaker, Thank You for Smoking, The Four Hour Body.

Also, even if you aren't poly or open, everyone should read Sex Before Dawn and the Ethical Slut.

I don't own a tv. That might be why I read so much.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
"Unhappiness or negativity is a disease on our planet. What pollution is on the outer level is negativity on the inner. It is everywhere, not just in places where people on’t have enough but even more so where they have more than enough. Is that surprising? No, The affluent world is even more deeply identified with form, more lost in content, more trapped in ego." (Eckhart Tolle)

I'm trying to need less these days.

Pen and my journal
Stimulating conversation
The wind on my face and a winding country road
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sex. Politics. Access to healthcare. Economic justice. Love. How to be a better person/leader/friend/lover. How to get the revolution rolling. Eating the rich. First kisses. Good beer and cheap whisky. Life, death and the mysteries of the world.

But mostly Battle Star Galactica and what it would be like to sex a cylon.

Also, you are not laid back, so stop typing it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
