I am sardonic, sarcastic, and a dirtbag.
My Self-Summary
I'm a fairly outgoing redhead born and raised in, but not
representative of, Calgary. I went to University, and obtained a
degree. I now work a few different jobs that I love passionately.
My career is animal-related, and therefore animals are a big part
of my life. But there's a little more to me - I also love music,
especially things that stray from the mainstream and challenge me a
bit, and have a bit of an obsession with food.
I'm at a stage in my life where I feel like everything I do needs
to be awesome and I don't like wasting time sitting around. I'm
laid back about a lot of things, and hard to offend, but get fired
up pretty fast about the things I'm passionate about. I'm told I
belong on the coast, but I'm not there yet... and because one of my
friends is exceptionally quotable, apparently I am "a bizarre
combination of responsibility and total chaos". I like it that way.
What I’m doing with my life
Working a few different animal related jobs, one in education that
also involves teaching kids, and one as a professional dog trainer.
Re-learning to play guitar. Remembering how great it is to read for
pleasure. Saving for trips. Eating. Having some fucking fun.
Basically, I want to do everything (what does Freud think about the
fact that I just typed "everyone" instead of "everything"?).
I’m really good at
Being sarcastic, procrastinating, and being a total dirtbag. being
empathetic and condescending in the same sentence. arguing for the
sake of a debate and not because I actually agree with the side I'm
taking (though I'm a recovering addict here... I'm trying very hard
to stop). there, i've listed everything you might want to know
about why you might not get along with me!
On the other hand, even though I procrastinate, I do eventually get
things done. I did finish university. Generally if I set a goal it
gets done. I'm really good and planning and budgeting, actually.
And avoiding evil cats.
The first things people usually notice about me
My guess is my hair. It's bright freaking red. After that I have no
idea. My intensity, perhaps?
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
books- geek love, boys of life, millroy the magician, adrian mole
books, sea of tranquillity (i love paul russell), the rachel
papers, dead babies, the handmaid's tale, the buddha of suburbia
(also love hanif kureishi..) and tons more... movies- velvet
goldmine, sammy and rosie get laid, orlando, supersize me (not
really a movie i guess...), titus,
hedwig and the angry
inch, velvet goldmine, downfall, dead ringers. music- suede,
the hidden cameras, franz ferdinand, depeche mode, leonard cohen,
pulp, hawksley workman, gary numan, gordon lightfoot, coheed &
cambria, serena ryder, sabaton.. i have a bit of a fascination with
power metal... ween, the white stripes, antony & the johnsons,
bob marley; and foods, i love food.. indian rules my life, also
sushi, ethipoian... basically anything that's vegetarian and good.
i can't really express how much i love food. I wish my stomach let
me fit more of it in.
The six things I could never do without
animals, my heating, my toothbrush, my music, my car (i'm such a
calgarian, kill me), my friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
ok.. i have to be honest. food. i spend a lot of time thinking
about food. i really like food.
And travel. I want to go back to Africa. But... I can't afford
it.
And effective dog training techniques. I am a nerd like that.
On a typical Friday night I am
looking for an adventure of some sort, and blissfully ignorant of
the potential for regretting it in the morning. No Friday adventure
could ever beat a Thursday night though (see below)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
That i have no ability to be subtle. And that being said, if you
ask the question I'll probably answer it.. i don't know that i have
much perception of "private"...Also, I once went down on a charming
young man on a semi-crowded train the night Michael Jackson died

You should message me if
you're not completely retarded. and you're not offended by the word
"cunt". if your idea of a good dinner is a steak though, maybe
somewhere else would be a good place to look... if you like dogs
and indian food, and your idea of a good day is horseback riding on
vancouver island followed by a large meal at a really great indian
restaurant and then sitting in a car on a hill during a massive
thunderstorm with a great panoramic view.. in Africa! well, if that
sounds good then fucking send me a message because i want to meet
you.
also, you don't mind that i almost never use capitals. it hurts my
pinkies!!!
