Moved to Houston. Ended up single. Its all good. I have two teenagers in Houston private schools- They mostly live with their mother. I am not a game player or a serial dater. I am old-fashioned, over-educated and reasonably traveled. I grew up in Cuba and Mexico and went to the French Lycee- so I didn't speak English until I was in High school. I am serious, and a kidder, can switch from English to Spanish so fast- I think in Spanish. I like finding the joy in life and always see the best.

Eating dinner with Lucullus. (look it up) Would like to end up in a committed relationship- so I am looking for one!. Until I find it I am having fun meeting new friends to see if lightning strikes. I work out, work, see my kids every other week, take trips, have friends over for dinner, read piles of prospectus and financial statements (such light reading).

Cooking, entertaining, snow skiing, beaching, discretion, backrubs, investment research, patience. chasing paintings by Antonio Jacobsen. Making coffee and poached eggs on toasted English muffins. Actually- I am a much better chef than most of the central American line cooks that put together your entree for $27.50. I am living life one day at a time.

The prince by Machiavelli, All biographies of American presidents. the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, Neruda (very romantic), Cervantes, collect high end cookbooks. magazines and periodicals I read Wired, The Economist, Forbes, and Vanity Fair (sometimes when I feel really smug I will look at architectural digest to see how horrid my life must be). Movies: Spy and action- just saw Iron man 3 with my teenager- No real favorites. Television- Top Gear on BBC. With 1000 channels I rarely turn it on. I go to the opera, wish I knew someone that likes live music. I listen to just about anything except boy groups ( my daughter used to swoon over Justin Bieber, now its one direction- thank god for earphones). I cook and eat just about anything but just don't understand Indian food.

Financial apps on an I-phone, a partner in crime (that's what I am searching for!!!!!), two airplane tickets out, dark glasses, my passport and a sharp knife roll from Dehillerin. My children are not "things" so they don't count. They are however, at the top of my heart.

Is there coffee downstairs?? My children. snow, high airfares, Europe, Mexico, my friends who have maladies, baguettes, flowers, will I grow my first ever tomato crop after 35 years of trying? ( actually this is the most important one! If this heat wave doesn'y kill 'em all it looks promising- send me hints!)

At home cooking dinner. reading, Cleaning off a week's worth of "home office", No bar scenes. a date night out if I'm lucky, or spending time with kids at the movies, making pizzas, or chasing down food trucks.Really a quiet life.

I detest cats and sheddy dogs. Have owned 6 or so breeds of dogs.
