If you can make it past my ridiculous user name, you will find a quirky-funny, lovable guy (and a funny origin story for "Pope Josh Paul"). I am very easy-going, and usually the least serious of people. I will try my damnedest to make you laugh, and eventually I will succeed.

I grew up on a farm. I love the outdoors. I hunt and fish. I like football. Somehow, though, I made it into the tech industry, so now I am also a "computer guy," as I am often referred to (though I don't really fit that stereotype at all).

I am second-in-command in my department at a hospital, which is part of a larger corporation, which means I'm based in an office in Minden, but I am all over the place.

I am a fan of run-on sentences and hyphenated words that I often look up after I type them to make sure that they actually contain a hyphen.

This is the first time I have used a dating web site. Be gentle.

I live alone in an apartment.

I am not easily offended. I am not political.

I drink occasionally. I love microbrews. My favorite beer is Abita Turbodog. I also enjoy wine, but I know nothing about it. I rarely drink spirits. I never drink ghosts.

I love coffee. Strong coffee. My favorite coffee is Cafe Du Monde... in the can... the coffee at the actual Cafe Du Monde is weak sh!t from an urn. (Sorry, Cafe Du Monde. Your beignets are awesome, though.)

I sometimes play video games.

I like to play board games with my friends and family, I have a lot of them, and you've never heard of any of them (and if you have, marry me now, and let's get it over with).

I don't like writing self-summaries, but it's hard for me to stop once I start.

My career path is pretty much set. I will be in Minden for at least another couple of years before I move up to another position at another facility.

I am working on my body: eating right and exercising almost every day. I have lost 15 pounds over the last month or so. I am not fat, but I am not skinny, and I am surely not where I want to be yet.

Dat red hair... Oh, and my outgoing, friendly personality... but usually the hair/skin tone.

I will read any genre, my favorite authors being Joe Abercrombie, Jim Butcher, Bernard Cornwell, George R. R. Martin, Chuck Palahniuk, Steven Pressfield... I have just finished Blood and Thunder by Hampton Sides, and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith. I am currently reading Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand.

My favorite movie is Clerks (I am a Kevin Smith fan; Smodcast, FTW). I also love Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Anchorman, The Big Lebowski, Fight Club (any films directed by David Fincher, really), anything historical, and movies that are so bad they're good...

My favorite TV show of all time is Seinfeld. I also enjoy(ed) Mr. Show, Arrested Development, Game of Thrones, Monty Python, Survivor, Sons of Guns, The Walking Dead, Mythbusters, Hoarders, Impractical Jokers, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Tenacious D, almost any random thing on Discovery/TLC/History... I am currently enjoying Reaper.

My favorite band is Counting Crows. I prefer rock, alt. rock, bluegrass, older or classic country... I like Ben Folds, Everclear, CCR, Grateful Dead, James Taylor, Foo Fighters, Weezer, Toadies...

I like spicy food, but I'm not picky...
