My Self-Summary
as much as i love drinking at the phase, i'm loving being a
homebody more and more and looking for some dinner-party-havin',
board-game-playin', sittin'-around-and-makin'-up-ridiculous-songs
and laughin' folks. i have the most fun talking with a small group
of people and getting to know them well. if you have a porch or
balcony, added bonus. i'm also not opposed to biking, hiking,
camping, and other adventures (they can have "g"s since they're
more serious).
What I’m doing with my life
i am a summer camp director and work as one year-round. i recruit
campers and staff; plan programs; advertise opportunities to
parents; prepare campers, parents and staff for the camp
experience; train staff to run camp... i move away and live at camp
for three months each summer. i love my job and it's a huge part of
my life.
I’m really good at
karaoke. i want to move past karaoke and sing some songs with a
band sometime. i love me some bonnie raitt. but i don't dance. i'm
pretty awkward. i'm very good at that.
The first things people usually notice about me
my height. it's okay. i'm used to it.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
i'm not a big reader- maybe some sociological non-fiction or
something? i liked most of the stuff i read in women's studies,
sociology, and anthropology classes... as well as alison bechtel
and david sedaris... and you should read "stumbling on happiness"
by daniel gilbert.
movie faves- empire of the sun, tommy boy, singles, corrina corrina, bronx tale, dave, wayne's world, brokeback mountain, slumdog millionaire, love actually...
music- mostly slow singable stuff- folky, jazzy- then some knee slappin' fun stuff- this mostly still in the folk and jazz genre. 90s grunge. chopin. appalachian/bluegrass.
food- do you cook? indian, mexican. chicken.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
where i'm going, the interaction between people. i'm notstalgic,
but don't have my head in the clouds. i am a big thinker and less
of a talker. i'm working on that.
On a typical Friday night I am
there's nothing really typical. either watching lifetime movies and
surfing the net, at a friend's house playing games, eating out, or
having a few drinks somewhere. i'm sort of against routine.
