Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Happy Valentine's Day! I was going to say that this is the first
time since 2007 in which I've had someone very special in my life.
But you know what? I have had MANY special people in my life on a
regular basis from the day I was born! Today is just a day that
represents the love that we should feel for and express to one
another...every single day of the year!
***Sorry, but I'm currently dating someone incredibly kind, giving
& loving--AWAY from online dating! All's Well since
First, feel free to contact me. I will respond.
Friendly, outgoing, humorous, generous, open, communicative, high
energy, upbeat, intelligent, financially secure...
I know that the odds of finding someone like this are VERY rare
because every woman has so many options in the online dating
world...but I seek a bright, attractive, fun-loving and classy lady
who is unattached and available...because I refuse to be anyone's
backup plan. Also, my parents were happily together for 62 years,
and I home schooled my son for six years.
Friendship, dating and otherwise...it's all about loving and being
loved. Where is the woman I will serenade when dancing? I am
outgoing, active, cultured (not like cottage cheese), intellectual,
loving, supportive, well-traveled, high energy, fun-loving,
creative, communicative, nurturing, self-sufficient...
Seeking a woman with character and integrity who is into the same
for a mate, and is also into a variety of life's wonderful
experiences...instead of being an active participant in our
society's madness for the collection of things!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am one who writes a lot--fiction and non-fiction, does events,
and other work when need be, volunteers, and instead of avoiding
people who are downtrodden for fear they will emotionally drain me,
I embrace them and try to uplift them. I home schooled my son for
six years and two of his half-brothers for three of those years. I
also firmly believe ‘The Best Things in Life Aren’t Things.’ It’s
all about people and life experiences. Ladies! I’ve had MANY
experiences in travel, national park hiking, dancing, singing,
sports, and other events and creative endeavors!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I’m near the top when it comes to detailed itinerary vacation
planning, kissing, maintaining a high energy level for my age, just
being supportive, loving and having an outrageous sense of humor!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmmm…I still get told by many strangers that I remind them of that
old Michael who was really popular in the 1980s. I tell them…Yes,
Jackson because I can really wild dance! But it’s really Douglas
from the “Jewel of the Nile” and “Romancing the Stone” era!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
This would be one heck of a lengthy list! I enjoy self-help books
like “Million Dollar Habits” by Brian Tracy, other non-fiction like
“The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls and the five or six thick
books written by Winston Churchill (one of my all-time favorite
people alongside Ben Franklin) after WW II. Movies??? I like ones
that aren’t verbally and physically gross…like good comedies and
adventures! I LOVE The MUNY!!! Music…My tastes go all the way back
to the 1930s and to the present, including Big Bands, Show Music,
Western, pop from the 1950s on…and I do slow, wild and swing to
many more choices than that! Food…All kinds of American, ethnic,
buffets, sea food…
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1)Wonderful support of family and friends, 2)St. Louis
Cardinals…religiously since 1963, 3)Essentials of life…roof, food,
water, etc, 4)My cell phone and laptop, 5)Contact with my son who
graduated from the Navy Nuclear program and is nowstationed in
Washington State, and 6)Freedom of expression in writing, music,
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How can I ever find a great two-way relationship when so many
people seem to be ruled by "The Law of Attraction?" I'm also very
concerned about the recent path of my country, and worry about its
future. I also wonder about my son’s short-term and long-term
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There’s nothing truly typical. I dance a lot and do a good deal of
other events with friends…and if I’m ever lucky enough to find a
woman who is totally free…
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
OK…If you must…You know how men are supposed to be from Mars and
women from Venus? Well, I’ve told MANY people that, since I am FAR
more a free thinker and my own person that I’m from Saturn! Quite a
few people are starting to believe me!

Anyone in my area who is sociable, into any or all of the four
major sports; swing, square dancing, slow or freestyle dancing;
hiking, fairs and festivals, museums, astronomy; other things
intellectual, active, cultural; and is NOT a home body. If so, feel
free to contact me. You could be one-half of a life filled with
fun, frolic and so much more!
