I have a new job in London after having lived all over the place, so still finding my feet. I value honesty, treating people with respect, not taking life too seriously (but a little bit seriously), intelligence and curiosity. I like meeting and chatting to new people, having new and interesting experiences, meeting up with old friends, music and just chilling out and enjoying life. Life is too short not to be spontaneous and too wonderful not to be happy. Don't you think?

I work in communications, which I love because it's about people and ideas. My ambition is to do it for an organisation or cause I believe in. I am one of those naive people who is trying to change the world. I also try and keep fit by running, cycling and playing football. I have been known to juggle, badly.

Having fun, making decisions, listening, inspiring people (apparently, at least some of the time). I'm pretty good at music, which I enjoy playing and writing. Speaking foreign languages doesn't count because that was my degree, though people are sometimes surprised to find out I taught myself mandarin.

I'm quiet at first then I always try and make a funny comment. Though sometimes it's so bad they don't realise I was trying to be funny. Or that I'm tall, but that's not usually as awkward.

Books: Mostly non-fiction because I am always trying to understand as much as I can. In terms of fiction I like some classics like Dickens, Tolstoy, Cervantes, and then also Amelie Nothomb, Mohsin Hamid and Carlos Fuentes. Anything that makes you think and takes you on a journey.

Films: Fight Club, Bourne Identity, Inconvenient Truth.

Music: I love music and used to be in a band. In terms of listening I like music to relax to, upbeat stuff to dance to, noisy stuff that blows my mind, and easygoing stuff to enjoy with good friends. This includes: Beatles, Bjork, Incubus, Damien Rice and Herbie Hancock.

Food: Anything vaguely healthy and preferably environmentally friendly. Always up for trying new things.
