I am positive, passionate, and active.
My Self-Summary
I'm Kevin. I'm fairly self-analytical, yet writing a "self-summary"
is something I find kinda difficult. Basically, I would describe
myself as positive and incredibly passionate about people, culture,
art and the exploration of mind and body. My motivation in life is
to experience and absorb as much about it as possible. I pour
myself into the things which I love, but equally, don't take life
too seriously; ultimately, all I'm really looking for is happiness
and fun.
What I’m doing with my life
... or, rather, what I spend my time doing, which can change
week-on-week, year-on-year, but recently I've just completed a
Masters Degree in Sound Design, specifically looking at the use of
post-production sound in film. I'm currently employed to support
audio-visual teaching requirements at the University of Manchester
whilst undertaking various A/V production and post-production
duties. My insatiable thirst for knowledge has drawn me to spend
most of my adult life either studying or working in higher
education, which I totally enjoy.
I have many passions which compete for my attention, but most
dominant is music - both as punter and producer. I've been involved
in several bands and projects over the years, but currently I'm
producing electronic music under a few monikers, mostly textured,
ambient, dark, dubby, electronic, experimental things which I find
interesting and fun.
I love to experience live music, go to the cinema, visit art
galleries - learning from and sharing with others our creativity. I
travel as much as I can, both in the UK and abroad; I love to meet
people with different experiences and interpretations of life to my
own and am fascinated by all the world (and beyond) has to offer.
If there's somewhere I've not been or something I've not done
before, chances are I'll be interested in checking it out.
I enjoy tattoo and body modification culture; I have considerable
tattoo coverage (nearly half my whole body) from some incredible
artists from all over the world. I put considerable effort into
curating my body canvas and love the planning, process, production
and product of being tattooed.
I also enjoy physical fitness and endurance, through cycling,
rock-climbing, hiking, going to the gym and veganism. I like to
keep active and healthy... which also helps to keep my incredibly
high metabolism happy too!
As far as "plans" for my life are concerned, I just point myself in
interesting and exciting directions and enjoy the ride.
I’m really good at
I think I've got far too many passions and interests to be really
good at anything specific; my ability quota is spread far too thin!
Saying that, I'm a very sociable and communicative person... and I
can make some seriously mean basslines too.
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically? Stretched earlobes and tattoos, I'd guess.

The six things I could never do without
My closest friends (although I feel a little guilty referring to
them as "things"), some of whom are on here, yay -
mattvolatile and
OperaNinja
A bike.
A guitar.
My passport.
A solid pair of shoes.
A constant supply of food (I'm skinny but I never stop eating).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All of the above.
On a typical Friday night I am
I honestly cannot define what a "typical Friday night" might be.
Again, see some or all of the above.
You should message me if
you want to. Simple, really!
