I am super, califragilistic, and expialidocious.

My Self-Summary

I like trees and flowers, warm weather and blue skies. I like to run, bike, and read. I would prefer to avoid baseball and football altogether.

What I’m doing with my life

Living the dream, pretty much. I got a decent, well-paying job related to my college major (um, materials science and engineering...) in the middle of a recession, so I can't complain.

I’m really good at

Being awkward. Actually, I'm really really good at it. Want to have an awkward contest?
Oh, and scrabble.

The first things people usually notice about me

The goofy looking spandex (if I'm biking).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Infinite Jest, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Something Wicked This Way Comes, A Sand County Almanac, The Omnivore's Dilemma. (and many others)

Movies: The Royal Tenenbaums, The Matrix, Shawshank Redemption, Citizen Kane, Napoleon Dynamite.

Music: Belle and Sebastian, The Decemberists, Regina Spektor, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Bob Dylan. Warren Zevon, Andrew Bird, Fleet Foxes, most classic rock. Beethoven, Dvorak, Brahms.

Food: Watermelon, Blueberries, and pretty much any fruit. Ice cream. Mexican. Plums. Oranges. Mangoes.

The six things I could never do without

Air, water, food, warmth, exercise, socks.

Things I'd rather not do without also include beer and oatmeal ... there just aren't that many things that I could never do without. History has shown humans are pretty capable of adapting to whatever circumstances they find themselves in.

I've survived for extended time periods without the Internet, so I know it's possible.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Why my life is awesome and I should therefore be super happy.
Seriously, I think I live better than at least 99.9% of all the people who have ever lived. You probably do, too!

On a typical Friday night I am

Being lame. Or not being lame. Or possibly both simultaneously. Or it might depend who's asking.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I thought of something good to put in this box, but I keep forgetting what it was.

You should message me if

You like to be outside or watch interesting movies. Or if you feel like it, right?

I think long walks on the beach are better if there's no one else on beach. So usually, around these parts, long walks in the woods are better. http://xkcd.com/120/
