My self-summary
I love visual art, film, and music, but we all do so I guess we can disregard that as a distinguishing trait. My life is a series of embarrassing moments. I think the gender binary is pretty wack, among other things. I have a penchant for puns and alliteration. I recently went through a phase where I had a pretty unhealthy relationship with sudoku puzzles. I love to learn new things and being exposed to different walks of life. I think it's weird that people take instagram photos of their food. If you were to judge me based on my handwriting or handshakes, you'd probably think I'm a terrible person.
What I’m doing with my life
Studying social sciences. I plan on going into social work. Spending more money than I should on
all the awesomeness around me. I draw when I'm not
working or studying.
I’m really good at
Expressing my opinions. Recognizing that I don't have all the answers. Giving people the benefit of the doubt. Admitting when I'm being a jackass. Paying compliments and meaning it. Tech decks (the little tiny skateboards for your fingers). I recently joined a pool league. That's some next level depressing shit.
The first things people usually notice about me
I look like somebody they know
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Fitzgerald, Vonnegut, Kafka. Obsessive about music bios and graphic novels, notably Pekar, Robbins, Satrapi, Crumb, Clowse, Burns, Hernandez brothers, Speigelman, Green.

Television: Twin Peaks, Seinfeld, My So-Called Life, and Mr. Show sums it up pretty well. Not very well informed when it comes to TV, admittedly, but I've seen Broad City and think it's pretty hilarious.

film: Argento, Solondz, Jarmusch, Sophia Coppella, Almodovar, Jadarowski, Cohen Brothers.

Music: Right now, Mississippi records mixtapes, Sublime Frequencies comps, space rock, shoegaze, feminist punk and post-punk (not just riot grrl), doo-wop, outsider artists like the Shaggs and R. Stevie Moore, 80's british indie pop. Roky Erickson and Mazzy Star always.

Food: El Nutri Taco, por que no, zilla sushi.
The six things I could never do without
hijiki salad. free boxes. bike lanes. the thyme iced tea from fresh pot. The 90's. The bluffs.

I could, however, do without hearing the following 4 songs in a karaoke bar ever again:

1. Bohemian Rhapsody
2. Sweet Home Alabama
3. Total Eclipse of the Heart
4. Don't Stop Believin'

Seriously guys, where's the originality?

oh, and I could also do without allergies and homophobia
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Power dynamics. Social justice. Cats. elitism. Where's Waldo books on tape.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching mockumentaries, rockumentaries, or shockumentaries. Or something else entirely.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was raised in a devout mormon household. Weird shit, let me tell you. The last thing that I shoplifted was A Walk To Remember when I was 19.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–36
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you're going through a thin, scruffy white dude phase. You're not a normie. Or fuck it, message me even if you are. Or if you wanna embarrass me at pool! Also, it sucks that I even have to say this, but we most likely won't hit it off if you're the type of person that has pictures you took of yourself in the mirror making duck lips or whatever. Just sayin'.
