I am open to trying almost anything, a hopeless romantic, love planning adventures both local and abroad (next up are Japan, Ethiopia and Hawaii), dancing, hiking, telling stories (always true, though may be slightly exaggerated), reading the NYT and New Yorker, cycling (on my road bike!), analyzing social interactions, and watching movies. I don't mind going to the movies by myself. Otherwise, I am pretty social and love being with people.
I go through phases where I'm preoccupied with different things. Currently, it is being minimalistic and day-dreaming about living in a van. I've been shredding lots of paper and giving things away. Previous phases include a flash mob phase (this was quenched by participating in one last year - it takes a lot of practice, who knew!?); multiple travel-bug/escapist phases (including a year back-packing and another year living in Hawaii); pseudo-poetry writing phases; meditation phases, etc. These don't last (so don't worry, I won't shred your birth certificate and demand that you meditate with me in my van-house). But I will probably send you NYT articles and invite you to ride a bike and/or watch an obscure movie.
