Logical. Pragmatic. Kind to a fault, except when I'm not. I am well traveled - though not nearly well enough - and very laid back, which I guess comes from being Australian. I like learning, and listening, and being around interesting people. "Interesting" is pretty open ended, I have lots of (read: too many) interests.

I'm trying to say "yes" more, I'm traveling, I'm making new friends (trying to, at least!). I'd like to become more active and outdoorsy because truth be told I can be too lazy for my own good.
Books: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and every single thing Douglas Adams has ever written, the Game of Thrones series, anything by Tolkin (Silmarillion included), anything by William Gibson, anything by Ian M Banks, Neil Gaiman or Michael Crichton. Contact by Carl Sagan. Tom Clancy's stuff before he went crazy (circa Executive Orders). Dune - the old ones. Arthur C Clarke and Isaac Asimov, but I need to read more of their works. Did I mention Douglas Adams?
Music: The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Orbital. Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer. Daft Punk. Deadmau5. Joy Division. Thievery Corporation. Muse. Robbie Williams (seriously). Digweed, Oakenfold, Tiesto.
TV: The West Wing (any Sorkin really), Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Archer, anything with Anthony Bourdain, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, Futurama, Friday Night Lights, Iron Chef (the Japanese one!), Top Gear, Mad Men, The Big Bang Theory, Black Books, The Wire, Scrubs, Parks and Recreation. And probably a few more that I'm forgetting.
Games: I am a recovering MMO addict. Ultima Online, EverQuest, DAoC, WoW - pick your poison, I played 'em all. I'm currently replaying the entire Half Life series - what a set of classics. I'm mainly a PC gamer, all of my consoles are back in Australia.
Food: All of it. I love all of the food. I'm also partial to cooking it and growing the constituent parts.
I am very much an organiser, so I think a lot about that. My work, money, my furniture, the files on my computer - all nice and neat and organised.
I spend time thinking about when/if I'm going to start spelling words with a 'z', seeing as I have been in the US for over a year and a half now.
