Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
*** UPDATE*** The beard, and 'stache, are gone until at least
So. About me: I'm a lawyer who originally grew up in the Pioneer
Valley and eventually found myself back here about a decade ago. In
between leaving for college and my return, I've lived in Vermont,
Miami, and NYC, with other stints in Virginia and D.C. area. I
never made it out "West", despite having a vague sense that I
should give it a try.
I tend to find myself pretty busy during the week due to work. In
between weekdays, I run to stay fit. No ultramarathons or tough
mudders, but more like the 5ks and 10ks that will have some good
beers waiting at the end to enjoy with friends. Fortunately, I tend
to have weekends to myself. You could find me anywhere from the
usual local spots in Northampton or Amherst for brunch or out in
Boston supporting any one of the 4 bands my buddy is in (most
likely in a joint that has PBR in cans). Whether being active or
just hanging out, I like to surround myself with good people (or at
least those who I think of as "good").
Our Kentucky Derby parties are legendary. Goofy outfits and mint
juleps a must! I also took up golf this summer and to my surprise,
and horror, I got somewhat hooked on it. I'm awful but enjoy
wearing plaid pants while having some beers on the fairway.
As for the rest, well, I guess we'll just have to meet up and share
some stories. I swear, I'm a lot more fun than this profile makes
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
There was lots of schooling involved. I like to think of myself as
your everyday Atticus Finch, but after seeing it, "Lincoln Lawyer"
Mickey Haller may be more precise.
Figuring it out like everybody else.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Recently? Ugly Christmas sweaters.
On an OkC date? I really am the height I claim to be.
Otherwise? That I have a suit and tie job.

Books: High school classics like The Great Gatsby, The Sun Also
Rises, and The Catcher in the Rye. More modern novels from Bret
Easton Ellis and World War Z. The Lords of Discipline brings me
back to my college days. Just started the Game of Thrones series
and trying to get through book 3 before the season ends on
Movies: If I could go to the movies, be the only one in the
theater, and not have to get distracted by people texting or
talking on their cells, I'd probably see more of them. Some movies
I'll stop and watch if I come across them on TV (hopefully
unedited): Office Space, Swingers, There Will Be Blood, and Eternal
Sunshine. British gangster movies, especially from the 70s and 80s,
also up there.
(TV) Shows: Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Archer, and
Family Guy on [adult swim] to drift off to sleep to. Diners,
Drive-Ins, and Dives, or anything with Guy Fieri especially when
coupled with the @DadBoner twitter feed.
Music: Most recent iTunes purchases I was pleased with included
Father John Misty, Sun Kil Moon, The Jezebels, and Smoke &
Jackal. Others include Silversun Pickups, The Gaslight Anthem, and
Metric. My recent forray into Spotify is opening up any number of
different artists. I'm really liking the new BRMC and look forward
to seeing them again when they pass through the area.
One song that reminds me of dating, online or otherwise, is "Pablo
Picasso" by the Modern Lovers...
Food: Try to mix it up, but if something looks like the calorie
count could kill you in a couple bites I'll probably have to give
it a try. Most recent was either the Spicy PBLT at Jakes or the
burger special at Local that had candied pecan bacon on top.
The six things I could never do without
