My Self-Summary
I like me. I'm outgoing, compassionate, friendly, and a smart-ass.
I get a lot out of life and my experiences- I get excited to see
friends, to be with my famalam, to do work I think is worthwhile,
to be out in the city
at night, to learn new things, to talk to stangers, to shoot
pool, to crack jokes,
to connect with somebody, to meet new people. I get excited about
life in general.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a clinical social worker. I do psychotherapy with kids, teens,
and families in a Boston Public School. The work is always
rewarding, often stressful, and never boring. I live in Boston and
am from the area. I try to move through life getting the most out
of it as I can, sharing as much of that experience as I can with
the people I love, and hopefully giving back to others as much as I
have gotten. Wow, that was a lot less cheesy in my head...
I’m really good at
relating to other people, understanding social subtext, making
witty comments, making people laugh, making people feel special.
I'm also good at most sports, anything to do with words or language, bar pool, connecting with kids. I love
learning and I enjoy classroom learning in almost all subjects. I
can bang out a crossword puzzle in no time. I
like to think I have a strong enough sense of self that I can
examine the aspects of myself that I am not as good at, and I am
willing to hear ways in which I can better myself without getting
overly defensive.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a shorty, only 5'2''. I'm active and I love to talk and get to
know people. I have strong opinions and I care a lot about the
world around me. I'm anything but apathetic.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
People, love, family, friends, men, relationships, the meaning of
life. You know, the usual.
