But to actually address the question - I am a kindergarten teacher. I manage a horde of five year olds, who behave much like a group of cats when confined together for seven hours a day, and try to mold their minds. When I am not doing that, I am trying to find the best place to drink beer or the best place to go walking. Sometimes my journeys mesh into one and I walk myself home.

I seem to be really good at learning from others and having meaningful discussions with people. I am a pretty open-minded person who looks to surround herself with the same.

I am also really good at not being really good at much of anything specific. Is that something one brags about? I make a mean plate of nachos, but really, how hard is that?

Physically, I'm short - and I have red hair. I subscribe to a method of honesty which can sometimes be called frank, but I have found that people who like my honesty are those I want to surround myself with. I am kind of a bouncy person and often want to be in the thick of things if something is happening; dancing at a concert, front row of a class...though we all have our off days.

Favorite books - I am a sucker for most science fiction or fantasy novels. I admit that I have not read a book for "pleasure" since I became a teacher. Though I have started to count David Sedaris on NPR as reading. I will be in line for the next book in the Song of Fire and Ice series - book lines are aways the best.
Movies - I like a range of movies. I cannot really put a quantitative analysis on why some movies over others, but here are some of my easily returned to movies: SLC Punk, Princess Bride, Boondock Saints, The Hurt Locker, and the only horror movie I can stomach; 28 Days Later.
T.V. - I watch way too much of it right now. I mostly find a cop drama (I am starting to recognize Law and Order episodes!) and have the T.V. as background noise. It tricks me into thinking I have very serious friends over.
Music- This is where we all list the music we want to admit to listening to or try and mention obscure bands to seem interesting, right? On my drive to work I listen to NPR or rap stations. Cleaning my house I generally listen to dub. Personal favorite bands are neither though. I enjoy the Decemberists, Portugal. the Man, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, Bad Religion...(I will trail off here, not wanting to leave a huge list). I like any music that can move my emotions or make me move.
Food - I couldn't ever get into vegan cheese....

1. Animals - I had just left my dog with my parents in the country and it was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. I recently adopted my sister's cat, and feel a little like I am cheating on my dog. I love all types of animals and to be honest, if you're not an animal person, we will probably not work well.
2. Music - I am consistently listening to something.
3. The Sun, quite literally, and my need for being outside.
4. My towel.
5. Other people to share ideas with and help make me a better person.
6. At least seven hours of sleep a night. I need my ZZzzzzs.

- The fact that when we look at the stars at night we are looking at light information from thousands to millions of years ago. (If you know more on this subject than me, I would love to pick your brain)
- How to be a better teacher, not just for the students I have now, but as a way to enact social justice within our society.
- What I'm going to eat for dinner.
-What it would be like to meet one of my 100% enemies. Seriously though, I think I am a pretty easy going girl, but would we have to death match it out?

Doing whatever I feel like doing. Normally that is taking a deep breath, making some dinner, drinking a beer, and watching tv. I swear I make my Saturday nights more interesting.

I know they (the okcupid gods) think this question will help make others feel closer to you through the act of sharing a secret, but anything private I'm willing to admit won't happen on a website, sharing it in person is part of the intimacy.
