My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am wildly overeducated, kind and nerdy. I have
done some interesting things with my life so far; I have
dined with judges and statesmen as well as partied with movie stars and pop singers. However, day by day life is pretty ordinary. Occasionally I throw in an extraordinary bit, but... yeah, mostly ordinary.

I'm a capable and friendly person and I like to move, change and shake things up. Especially at work, where its my job.

In my friends I look for stable and balanced people,
who know how to make time for all the important aspects of
their life; love, career and health. Intelligence
and humour however, are the two most important criteria - the best friends are those that can make you laugh at your problems and then help you fix them. : )

I'm not a girly girl, so don't base me off my photos. Oh, you're already looked at them? Well, they are me, but I don't wear makeup day to day, and because I don't have flawless porcelain skin and raccoon eyes naturally, my native state of being is the photo of me at the computer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a few degrees because my first plan was to be in the military, then second plan was to be an academic. So I have a philosophy degree, a law degree, a master of law, and I'm one subject shy of my master in international relations.
I used to work at university teaching contemporary international politics. I loved this as my job, I even got used to marking. But research just doesn't put fire in my belly! So sad, but true.

Right now my job is in IT as a data analyst and process improvement specialist. I REALLY love this job. I hope I can make it my career.

I'm thinking of moving somewhere warmer when I can - back to Sydney or Brisbane, Darwin.

As for life in general, my philosophy has always been full steam
ahead, in any direction, and then at least you've gotten
somewhere... To borrow from Mr Yoggi Berra: Left brain to right
brain says: 'We're lost!' Right brain : 'I know, but at least we're
making great time!'
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
If I like it, I work hard at being good at it. If I hate it, I'll be worse than a blind monkey touch typing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm confident and forthright.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

(A) Schroedinger's Cat (its on quantum physics, I love it... the 25% of it i understand) Philosopher at the end of the universe, terry Pratchett's discworld, the pentagon's new map for war in the 21st century, america: the book, Eddings' Belgaread and Mallorean series.

(B) Die Hard 4! Die Hard 3, Die Hard 2, Die Hard. I love Tony Stark, so Ironman and Ironman 2, and Avengers.
Nuremberg, Munich, Stranger than Fiction, Serenity, Lord of the Rings, anything with Bruce Willis in it except (see below)
Movies I INTENSELY dislike: Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Not Another Teen Movie, Jarhead, anything that can be labelled 'tween' or 'tween horror' or 'twehorror.' And anything overly stylised, like Sin City.

(C) hip hop, reggaeton, pop, opera, war ballads (like 'Fortunate Son')

(D) I'm vegetarian but I don't mind what my friends are eating around me unless it is shellfish in the shell. I find that nauseating, but I wasn't a fan even before the vegetarian switch; the cracking, slurping, crunching, AH, it makes my skin crawl...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love, purpose, intellectual stimulation, honor, compassion, respect.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Conflict and war and the reasons for those things. How I can help them stop, prevent them from happening and lessen their impact.

Politics... all of it. Sometimes how great it is, and sometimes how stupid it is, and sometimes how much it sucks.

Philosophy, science, medicine.... in fact, I NEVER EVER stop thinking. I work on methods to stop thinking - meditation, etc. But I haven't had much success.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing games, talking to friends, coding.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm worried that, as a woman that doesn't want kids, I'll find it hard to find nice guys that also don't want kids.

Also, I was really affected by 9/11 - I still can't see even photos of it without tearing up and feeling anxious again.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are into thinking, you care, and you want to be successful. I want to talk to interesting and honorable people, that care about the world and the people in it.

If you love money to the exclusion of all compassion and sense,
then I will not like you...

But please, for the love of god... no one hipster or trendy. If you follow trends... no, just no.
