My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Ok, Cupid, here's my breakdown. Born in Texas, raised in Tennessee, educated in San Francisco, and settled here in LA (currently the valley, but I'm working on that.) I am a VFX compositor working in TV and film, so yes I am in The Industry, but I'm on the other side of the camera. Essentially I'm a nerd, you wouldn't know it based on preconceived notions, but I am and always have been. I am well educated and well traveled. I'm down to earth, honest, loyal, and most importantly a rational human being. I'm here on okcupid because like most people I want to find out if there is someone special out there for me, and not using every tool at your disposal is just plain dumb. I'm looking for someone that inspires me in every way, and makes me want to continue to grow and keep being as badass as I can in everything I can. I need someone with as much sense of adventure and desire for living as I have, or more, if possible. I need someone that can deal with my sarcasm, my inappropriate jokes, my shitty puns, and my argumentative side. I like to play devil's advocate a lot, and it's probably my biggest fault. I'm working on it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Recently started a VFX job for a studio in Burbank. Started from the bottom, now we here. I'm glad to be back, glad to have work, and especially glad I didn't have to move to Vancouver. In my spare time I do the typical things like eating food, drinking drinks, and hanging out. I also do non typical things like ride my bike, go on random drives, sneak alcohol into movies, mine bitcoins, learn new languages, bowl, learn new instruments, stand up in front of people and tell jokes. Life is for the living.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite books would have to be; Hitchhiker's Guide, Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The Alchemist, The Brothers K and The River Why, Snow Crash, Lolita. Currently reading: the Rendezvous With Rama series.

Favorite movies are; Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Memento, Amelie, Se7en, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Anything Transformers (even though they are horrible), Anything Pixar (I mean... who doesn't), and of course anything from the 80's starring Ahnold, or anything with Bill Murray Ever (except garfield)

Music; Trampled By Turtles, The Protomen, The Weeknd, =w=eezer, Jimmy Eat World, Anthony Hamilton, John Legend, Frank Ocean. I'm a huge fan of catchy and ironic mashups. I will admit that sometimes dubstep just gets me going. Lately I've been devouring Radiolab and Startalk podcasts at work, I know it's not technically music, but it's what I've been listening to in place of music.

Food; I EAT ALL THE FOODS
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

• barbecues
• beer
• bulleted lists
• bikes
• alliteration
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My brain is a cacophonous smorgasbord of activity. Most people find it entertaining at least. Lately, I've been wondering why people use washcloths? If a bar of soap can get dirty what's the point really? And who cares if there's some hair on the soap, at least you know it's clean!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing at a bar with friends. Shooting the shit. Could be at home catching up on tv or out at the movies. Regardless I'm enjoying myself.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to work at an apple store and I own way too many apple t-shirts.

You know who Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan, and Neil deGrasse Tyson are. You want to laugh till your face and ribs hurt, you want to try cooking something together you've never tried to cook before, and you've never, never ever, never, ever ever ever, ever taken a duck face photo.

(that last one isn't a total dealbreaker, I know it happens to the best of us. I've ducked, you've ducked, we've all ducked once or twice in our lives; either intentionally or as a joke. It's not a huge ducking deal.)
