I am tall, outgoing, and sarcastic (but not hurtful, just funny). I love to listen to people's problems, and try to help them. I love kids, especially my 6-year-old godson, Brian. I am studying to be an elementary school teacher right now, and have become bogged down with unbearable amounts of homework. Really, it's a little bit out of control.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am taking education teacher prep classes at Washington State University so that I can become an elementary school teacher. I'm crazy busy right now, but not so busy that I can't take some time and hang out. *wink wink, nudge nudge*

(a) I don't have a favorite book but fav authors: Ann M. Martin, Clive Cussler, Terry Pratchett, J.K. Rowling

(b) My favorite movie of all time is Disney's The Little Mermaid, however, I also love G.I. Jane, Monty Python, and Romeo+Juliet plus many, many more. I have a tendancy to buy movies, so I actually own over 275 different DVDs. I also really like watching TV on DVDs, so far I've worked my way through Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yay!), Angel, Firefly (sensing a pattern?), Friends, Doctor Who, Smallville, Torchwood, Farscape, Supernatural, LOST, House, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Stargate: SG-1, Starate: Atlantis....the list goes on and on and on....

(c) I like just about everything except hip-hop/rap. but even some of that is starting to grow on me.

(d) I grew up in "little mexico" (aka Tri-Cities, Washington)and was born in Texas, so my fav food is obviously mexican. But, my mom's meatloaf is my birthday dinner every year. YUM!

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

Faith, friends, my contacts, books, tissues (think about it!), and shoes (yes shoes! I have a little bit of a shoe addiction. I own over 40 pairs of shoes and I love them all. I'm no Imelda Marcos, but still, they're so pretty.)

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

Whatever book(s) I'm currently reading. I read a lot, so this changes often. Everything from juvenile fiction to self help books for opium addicts in the 1800's. (well, not really the opium one, but that would be an interesting book, don't cha' think?)

My little brother is a Marine, and is in Iraq fighting right now, so I worry about him a lot of the time.

I also think about the children in the fourth grade class that I'm currently working in, and the two 6-year-old twin girls that I baby-sit. I want to be an elementary school teacher, so kids are really important to me, and I like to apply what I'm learning in my classes to the children in my life.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

Not doing much, just recovering from the week and getting ready for the next one. Possibly doing homework, as it just never ends!

I listen to Jim Dale reading the Harry Potter books on my iPod before I go to sleep. I take it with me whereever I go and HAVE to listen to it before bed. I have listened to them all at least 3 times, the earlier ones closer to 10.
