After college, I did two years of service in JVC Northwest in Portland, Oregon. I lived with 7 other rad people each year focusing on nonviolent and anti-oppressive community and I miss every second of it. Even cleaning the communal bathrooms. I've been a bit of a nomad since then so who knows where I'll end up but I'm just enjoying the journey.
I currently am lucky to take care of a dog named Polly who I rescued from the humane society over a year ago--she is the goofiest, strangest dog I've ever known and I couldn't love her more. I get way too excited when I see any animal friend, though, and usually carry some sort of treat with me at all times just in case I make a new friend.
I've been vegan for about 4+ years now, for animal rights, environmental and health reasons. So far in my experience Boston isn't the vegans friendliest city, but if you have recommendations of places to go, feel free to pass them along!
If you're into these things, I'm either an INFP on the Myers-Briggs, or a 4 on the Enneagram (my preferred 'test').
