My self-summary
I like the sky, the smell of the outdoors, and playing fetch with my dog.

I have exploding head syndrome.

I don't kill bugs.

My totem animal is the otter.
What I’m doing with my life
Searching for the sacred grove.

Getting into some shit.

I spend hours a day singing scales. I'm pretty sure birds come to visit me, since they're also singers, but then the blue jays come and chase them away.

And, I'm privy to the location of a humming bird nest with hummingbirdlings inside. So, I spend some time there. My dad calls it "the alter sublime."

I'm fixing up a camper. I'm going to live in it as a traveling bard/campfire singer. Or, I might go study opera in Vienna or somewhere in Italy.
I’m really good at

The first things people usually notice about me

Mortiis - The Stargate

It's no Mortiis, but it's achingly romantic.

And its opposite. Impermanence, yin-yang, etc.

“The world of dew
is the world of dew.
And yet, and yet--”

― Kobayashi Issa on the death of his child
The six things I could never do without
new perspectives, some skill to learn, things that blot out man's image and his cry, the sound of stringed instruments, good headphones
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how if you slow down bird songs, it sounds like actual music, and how the birds are hearing it this way because their experience is slowed down due to the faster processing of their brains. The world is really filled with this music. It's been filled with music before man. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Slow Bird Song

Too much bird stuff in this edition of my profile.

How naming things affects and limits our experience of those things. It changes what they are. Our pets become characters, the experience of who they really are is stifled. Some day I'm going to get a pet and not give it a name, just let it show its true self without restraining it with a name. Some Indian tribes believed it was a sacrilege to name certain animals. They didn't have a name for the wolf. What would it be like to experience the nameless universe?

Uniting the internal experience with the external world. Living in the world of music. I do.
On a typical Friday night I am
