i'm a software developer (it can be super stressful but i love what i do), a music junkie (listening, not playing. though i have a banjo i can't play that one day i'll learn to), a standup comedy addict (anyone wanna go to helium?), a beer connoisseur (at least, aspiring to be one).

I got into the dexter books after the first season of the show and i love them, though I haven't gotten to reading the newest one yet :(

i listen to lots of music, lately i've been digging on stuff that blends sounds from multiple genres, as well as a bit of experimental and indie and indie hip-hop & alt hip-hop and some reggae/dub-ish stuff, and for some reason i've been on this weird kick for dutch rap for the last year or so. i've got long-time love affairs with ska (old & new), industrial, 90s altrock, and 90s hiphop, and i grew up on my dad's record collection so i love classic rock :).

some of my recent and all time faves in random order: david bowie, streetlight manifesto, astronautalis, the selecter, daft punk, pixies, dj shadow, modest mouse, illscarlett, mansbestfriend, justice, cocorosie, girl talk, bosstones, veruca salt, coltrane, rilo kiley (jenny lewis is the only girl i independently had a crush on both as a child and an adult), bedouin soundclash, eels, penpushers, the faint, metric, pretty lights. I love connecting with people musically, and I get along better with anyone once I know what music tastes we share.

Last time i filled this box out, I put my car as one of the things and then it totally died. So beware guys i think this box is cursed. Or at the very least, haunted.

Cooling off after work with a nice beer or having some friends over or catching up on the week's tv or going to a bar or playing video games or something else entirely, im not sure if there's a "typical" friday for me
