Douglas Adams, Philip K Dick, and HP Lovecraft are a good place to
Every time I try to put music stuff in here I put a long paragraph
filled with band names from across whatever effing genres. But lets
put it this way: If you and I don't share any common music
interests, I would love it if you tried to change that. Music is my
favorite way to connect with people. I will go to any live show
(that is most definitely a dare/challenge/whatev).
I'm bad at movies. I don't see many, and I've missed out on a bunch
of movies that my friends just cringe when they hear I haven't seen
them. However, here are some of the movies I've already seen that
I've recently thought I should watch again (even though I've seen
some of them way too many times) : How to Get Ahead in Advertising,
Brick, Magnolia (Ricky Jay RULES), Rounders, The Royal Tenenbaums,
Scarface, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Logan's Run, A Scanner Darkly,
Ghostbusters, The Big Lebowski (I used to have the poster of nixon
bowling that The Dude has in his apartment hanging in my own, and
I'm sad I don't anymore).
TV: I grew up on Star Trek. I Practically lived The X-Files in high
school. I defend the endings of Lost & BSG. I watched Firefly
for the first time in a single sitting (at work, on launch day).
I'll talk for longer than I probably should about Heroes. I'd sell
my soul for a new season of Flight of the Conchords. I can't get
enough Doctor Who. I think How It's Made was invented for people
smoking a bowl. I re-watch many shows as background noise while I
work, recently this has mostly been a lot of Always Sunny. I obsess
over cartoons: I have an original film cel of Tweetie on my wall
(opposite my green ranger) and watch Squidbillies, Regular Show,
Adventure Time, Bravest Warriors, Bob's Burgers, Archer, and a
handful of others with my roommates whenever there's a new episode.
I liked the live action Tick more than the cartoon. I'm
depressingly behind on Boardwalk Empire, and also feel like I need
to catch up with Dexter in both TV & book form. I used to stay
up late at night watching Mr. Bean & Red Dwarf on my mom's 13"
black & white laundry room TV. If you've seen and are a fan of
Rough Science lets meet up ASAP :)
