being single sucks. being single in LA sucks even more. being single in LA and not knowing anybody in here sucks the most...but that's enough of the uplifting stuff. let's move on.

i tend to be a little shy at first but warm up quickly if i hit it off with somebody. i always try to keep my sarcastic and off color sense of humor no matter what life throws my way. i love music of all kinds and places where you can hear it...hence the reason i went to college to study it. sadly, finding a paying gig in the music industry is a far harder than getting degrees in it, but i digress. i like going out whether it be to a bar, club, a movie, or dinner. but i can also appreciate a quiet night at home...thank you Netflix.

i'm looking for people with a fantastic personality that meshes well with mine. and ultimately somebody that enjoys spending time with me as much as i do them and is sure of who they are and what they want. if the afore mentioned stuff sounds appealing, then we're already off to a good start and the rest is just a matter chemistry.

- working at the low end of high finance.
- commuting...i hate traffic, but what can you do?
- spending my free time with daughter, family and friends.
- looking for things to learn and ways better myself.

music related stuff like spinning records and playing guitar. lightening the mood with an inappropriate, yet funny, comment or joke. debating/discussing topics like politics, religion, and life in general for hours.

BOOKS
just finished common sense and am currently reading the virtue of selfishness. some of my favorites from recent reading are myths, lies, and down right stupidity; angels and demons; The 24 book series and books about vampires, religion, politics, and history.

FOOD
food is fantastic and i love it. i like all kinds but some of my favorites are italian, mexican, indian, chinese, greek, and french. but i must confess my favorite food of all time is good old mac & cheese. i also love to cook. as for the liquids...coffee, tea (especially chai), vanilla coke, red wine, beer, and rum.

MOVIES (some of my favorites)
amadeus, juno, 300, monty python and the holy grail, gladiator, underworld, all the kevin smith flicks, the da vinci code, snatch, saw & insideman, just to name a few.

MUSIC (i love all kinds of music)
i'm really into muse at the moment but some of my other favorites are stevie ray vaughan, john mayer, chopin, mozart, maroon 5, matt nathanson, a fine frenzy, jimi hendrix, nine inch nails, prince, s.t.p., reel big fish, pink floyd, technikal, ferry corsten, paul van dyk, guyver and many more.

PODCASTS
i'm a huge fan of a few podcasts that i've been listening to for a couple of years now. they include skeptoid, quack cast, dan carlin's hardcore history and common sense, the skeptic's guide to the universe and skeptics guide 5x5.

TV
24, house, true blood, penn & teller: bullshit, weeds, the tudors and just about everything on the food network and history channel.
