My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So, internet. Here I am! Looking for my 0 percent match...

The people around me are pretty important.

Even if I think you're adorable, I will read your profile. I'm pretty confident that's atypical.

I love surfing because it combines some things for me: first, it gets me outside. It can be competitive, yet increases camaraderie when you gain the respect and trust of others in the lineup. Actually it's one of the few sports where you can be really psyched about someone's performance even if they are doing better than you. There are no sour grapes, really. It's passionate. It can take you to different places around the world if you let it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I love to create. I have a lot of hobbies that keep me going and fulfilled. Writing songs and playing them, writing in general. For work I write code, which is building something virtually. Making things has been a constant source of fulfillment and enjoyment, so I look forward to getting that time and putting energy into it. Eventually I'll have some (more) finished products to show for it.

I hope to one day be featured on STFUCupid.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Failing towards success. A great example being surfing (I also am good at beating dead horses): I've had a good friend to do it with that is just as passionate and somewhat better than I am. Every time he gives me a tip, my skills seemingly jump up ten percent. Point being, if I wasn't doing stuff wrong (versus, say, not paddling out), he wouldn't be able to tell me what I was doing right.

I tend to think I'm good at writing. If not, don't tell me, my poor ego will shatter.

Texting poorly. I make jokes that appeal to a certain niche humor. Chances are we might not like each other if you're not in that niche.

Orange is the new Black. Love Community these days. 30 Rock.

Anything that's evocative of the West Village in a bygone era: Chet Baker, Velvet Underground, etc. I am pretty confident that I have romanticized New York of the past.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I had a moment where OkCupid gained a spot in my mindless Twitter / Facebook end-of-the-workday browser rotation. Ouch.

I'm allergic to my couch. No idea how it came to this.

You don't think a man has to justify his appreciation of Mean Girls.

You have a good sense of humor. You're smart. You're compassionate. You're caring. You have a good grasp on what really matters to you. You think my Aunt Judi would like you (just kidding! But seriously though, not good if you fail the Aunt Judi test)
