My self-summary
My main things in life are doing intellectually challenging things, staying in shape and having a good time. I think curiosity is my main main thing though. I want to know how EVERYTHING works and I want to feel and experience everything. I'm also fairly Russian, though I'm falling out of touch with modern Russian culture. I also lived in New York for a long time, but at this point am very ambivalent about it.

I do crossfit, throw darts, sing karaoke, play basketball, go to museums, concerts and dance parties. I spend most of my weekdays working though. Work for me is reading and writing and thinking about stuff, so I like it a lot, and though it's hard, it doesn't feel like "work."
What I’m doing with my life
I'm getting a PhD in quantitative psychology. It's a real thing. Promise.

One thing I'm working on is a methodology to help measure how laypeople think about probabilities.
I’m really good at
Not being competitive with friends. Palm reading. ANNNND everything else, especially modesty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: BREAD! I love bread. Nothing beats bread. Bread is the bread of life.

Shared music is a sufficient, but not necessary condition of love. Bands I like you might have heard of in increasing order of obscurity: Talking Heads, Animal Collective, Joy Division, Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, and other stuff Spencer Krug did, the Antlers.

Movies: Kill Bills II: the story of the American Congress
Backs to the Future: a look at Amish Culture
American History XL: The tantalizing documentary about obesity starring Michael Moore

TV: Twin Peaks is probably the best series I've seen. True Detective is interesting to talk about.

Books: Idea driven is best, character driven second, plot driven is ehhhh. I've been reading Infinite Jest for three years now. It's good, but kind of a clusterfuck. I've also been getting into Alice Munro after she won that big prize.
The six things I could never do without
flags.

Clawfee. Coffee with my claws. Because, what am I, TWELVE? And you're not my mother anyway.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How do unicorn deniers explain narwhals?

YouTube comments.

You've listened to the "Love" episode of this American Life and agree with it.

You're not a personal space invader.

Here's how I expect the perfect date to go. We get moderately drunk. In the afternoon. In a museum. Hang out in a park. Do some birdwatching. Hopefully you know some bird names. Have a dance party. Go to work and pay the bills.
