I've recently finished Ursula K. LeGuin's The Dispossessed and
liked it very much. Before that, there were many books by
Pratchett, Miéville, Gaiman, Gibson (William). I also liked the two
zombie survival books by Max Brooks. I also enjoy reading subject
books, sometimes. (Right now I'm reading Animal Behaviour by
McFarland, I've had a friend gift me a book on microbiology, I
bought the Handbook of Psychopathy..)
As of yet, I'm still unable to verbalize any clear pattern in my
favorite movies. Science Fiction are a yes, so is much fantasy.
Anything where the world is mostly in ruins. Uprisings (be it apes,
robots, zombies or plants) are nice to have.
Shows: Most recent additions to my list of shows I've watched and
enjoyed: Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles; True Blood;
Batman: The Animated Series; My Little Pony - Friendship is
Magic
Soon to be added: Life (BBC documentary)
But I've watched many more series in the past and still like them,
so yeah. Anime is also not a no. A friend and I are going to try to
watch Full Metal Alchemist - Brotherhood.
Music: Hot damn. A lot. Diverse. I used to have a preference for
stuff with guitars, but I've branched out heavily. I tend to enjoy
it, though, if there is anything odd about the music. I like to
imagine that I enjoy new and novel impressions. (Addition: Right
now, Cream and Devo are dominating my music listening.)
Food: Cheesy. Spicey. My parents were so kind to plant habanero in
their garden for me. Awesome! :D But it's sort of hard to strike a
balance between "Aaaahh, I am BURNING! I want to die! My senses
start failing because of the pain!" and "What a nice aroma those
fruit have." with habanero. (Also, a lesson I've learned the hard
way: If you handle something like habanero or similarily hot.. WASH
YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY before you go to the toilet or before you for
some other reason come even remotely close to your genitals with
your hands. Same goes for eyes.)
Classy end for this section.
