Self-analysis is not my strong suit, but I have been described in
the past as funny, smart, and anything but usual. I'm from Colorado
originally, and I imagine I will always have a bit of a western
attitude. I am mystified by the fact that seemingly everyone in
this town is in a perpetual rush, yet no one is ever on time for
anything.
I love laughing and making people laugh. I'd say my sense of humor
can be alternately goofy, dry, dark, or sarcastic, depending on my
mood (usually sarcastic).
A few other things I like: hilariously bad
movies, discovering cool stuff before
anyone else, music
video games (
Rock Band, woo!), the feeling I get
after a good workout (I've really come to enjoy running), figuring
out a tricky problem, exploring.
A few things I'm not such a fan of: Reality TV, mustard, humidity,
bad drivers.
I'm a software engineer developing and maintaining software for a
couple government agencies. It can provide some interesting
challenges.
Trivia. Logic games
(
sudoku, for
example). Doing math in my head. Making my friends laugh. Finding
the humor in almost any situation. Purchasing the right gift
(sometimes). Punctuality.
Cooking, for an amateur.
I read quite a bit, probably 1-2 books a month on average. There's
no particular genre that I remain exclusive to. If I had to choose
a favorite I would pick adventure classics, such as
The Three
Musketeers. I recently read Pride and Prejudice for the first
time and really enjoyed it. Does that mean I have to turn in my man
card?
I'm also a bit of a movie buff. I have more DVDs than I know what
to do with anymore (I may have a problem). My favorite movies
usually tend to be a bit quirky. I also really love cheesy,
ridiculous
b-movies. Unintentional humor may be
the best humor.
For music, I'm not really good at naming genres and such so I'll
just say my favorite bands I've discovered in the last year have
been Queens of the Stone Age and Social Distortion. As you can see,
I am literally decades behind the curve on discovering new music.
What I am looking for, ultimately, is a real connection, but I
don't think that is necessarily something that will come about in
an instant. I'm more than willing to just have some fun and see
where things lead. I like women who are smart, independent, and
have a good sense of humor. So if this sounds like you, please do
send me a message.
