A few months ago, at 1:30 AM, I got a phone call from one of my best friends. He was
drunk and sobbing. "Dude, I just had a huge fight with my girlfriend
and we broke up! But, I have this plan. I'm going to call her and
apologize, and you'll play her favorite song with your guitar in the
background! Can you come over with your guitar?"

Of course, I proceeded to make fun of his drunken stupidity. "How
about this?" - I replied - "Let's both just get on a plane to DC right
now, and I'll stand under her window and serenade her while you
apologize in person!!!"

Then, I got in a cab with my guitar and went over to his place, and
played a Coldplay song while he talked to his girlfriend on the phone.
They proceeded to get back together and are now engaged.

While utterly ridiculous, this episode demonstrates several key
features of my personality: my loyalty to my friends, my sarcastic
sense of humor, my willingness to roll with life's unpredictability,
and of course my guitar skills! I'm a fun, funny, laid-back guy with
a lot of awesome things going on in my life, and I'm looking for
someone equally awesome to share that with.
