I am a thirty one year old ex pro boxer. I went to college and have degrees in law enforcment and elementary education but kind of got myself locked into a job in banquet management. I am really good with kids and am interested in having a family someday. I read quite a bit and am into politics but don't follow it as much since we got a new president and I am not as mad anymore. I pump iron a couple times a week and try to jog but not as much as I should. I spend a lot of time listening to satilite radio. I am a big blues music fan. I work a lot and am selective about how I spend my money. I wouldn't say cheap but I would rather spend money on experiences than material things. I would rather go on a trip than drive a fancy car. I would rather go out to eat than have expensive clothes.

What I am looking for is woman who is smart and strong minded and will challenge me. I consider laughter to be one of the most important things in the world. I need someone who can find the humor in life. I need a woman who can go to the grocery store with me and debate whether peanutbutter crunch cereal is better than crunchberry and why can't they have peanut butter crunchberry all in the same box. I am more than happy to go clothes/shoes/some other girlie thing shopping if I can crack jokes and look extra pitiful holding the purse.

I am considerate, funny, and smart

Thats a tough one I turned thirty this year, and it seems like this is what I am going to be when I grow up. I am not sure how feel about it. I know that I should be teaching but I am too selfish to give up the money I am earing not making the world a better place. Also I still have to do my internship and I have to put some money away to take the time off to do it.

I am very good with kids. My grandmother babysits my cousins kids a lot and they love it when I come and visit. I worked as a substitute teacher for a while and was good at getting the kids involved and under control.

My name is kind of unusual. Josiah, I go by Josie for short. Since Josie is a girls name it throws people who can't figure out if I am gay. I don't give off anyother signs of having some sugar in the tank (mostly because I am straight).

My favorite author is James Lee Burke And I have read everything he has written. I went back and read everything by David Simon (Homicide; A year on the killing streets, The Corner) for a second time recently even though it is depressing as hell. But it really makes The TV shows (Homicide, The Corner, The Wire) better to Know the true story.

I work a lot of weekends so Friday night is not really a big deal to me. I was in a long term relationship for a while and spent most of the last year trying to workout our problems and giving her some space but not moving on. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or not.
