Although nearly all my relationships have been fairly long ones, I've been burned a few times. (But haven't we all?) I'm extremely forgiving (maybe to a fault) so even my worst break-ups have ended on a positive note, but now that I'm "older and wiser" I don't jump into things. I think that it's important to take time and get to know a person, find common interests, and decide if you are compatible as friends first. And since I'm a teacher and I like learning about things, I'm always full of questions when I first meet someone. So, even if you're in to things I know nothing about, once my analytic, information-processing brain gets into gear, there's always something to talk about!
My intention (for now at least) is to meet people to get out there and experience life with. I'm not in a rush to find my future spouse like some people seem to be. in fact, i'm the kind of girl who likes to get to know you as a friend first. If it leads to something more, that's awesome! And if not, I'm cool with that too! I like going places and doing things, whether it's to a movie, a club, bowling, painting pottery, a concert or a sporting event. I just want to get out there and start DOING instead of waiting for opportunity to knock.
