My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a laid back, music loving punk from Texas. I'm very loyal to those I care about the most. With that said, I'd love to meet new people to add to that list. I go to concerts as often as I can, collect records, and kick ass at pub trivia.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved here from Houston in May 2012 and I've been loving it ever since. After a year working what I call a "transitional job", I finally found the job I've been looking for and things are looking up. With a consistent schedule now, I can enjoy life more now. The downfall is that I have to drive to Redmond M-F but I'm working on finding something downtown.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Knowing the name of the band or movie you're trying to reference.

Bringing ear plugs to concerts for myself and friends so that their hangovers aren't made worse with tinnitus.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am 6'4". I can't tell you how many conversations with new people start with me leaning over to hear "Man, you're tall."

My beard is getting pretty bushy so I'm sure that's another.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Of Mice and Men, Middlesex, 33 1/3 series, Hunter Thompson, Sedaris, Matt Taibbi and Choke are a few favorites. I've gotten into reading comics again recently upon acquiring a tablet. Preacher, The Boys, Sex Criminals, Sandman, Chew, Stray Bullets, Walking Dead, Deadpool, and most things Batman and Joker related.

Movies: Fargo, Shaun of the Dead, Cabin in the Woods, Kill Bill, Goodfellas, Dead Alive among many others. Zombies, horror, and comedies are my bread and butter

Shows: Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Always Sunny, Louie, Bob's Burgers, Boardwalk Empire, The League, South Park, Soprano's, Six Feet Under, Daredevil, John Oliver, and Veep. I like binge watching shows I grew up on like Parker Lewis Can't Lose and Seinfeld. I have also been going through Beavis and Butthead to see the old videos of the bands I discovered through the show.

I'm absolutely nuts about music and my tastes are all over the place: Ween, Misfits, Queens of the Stone Age, Motorhead, Sublime, Gorillaz, The Doors, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Black Flag, Yardbirds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Ramones, Beastie Boys, Dead Kennedys, Stooges, Radiohead, Pixies, Grinderman, Pantera, Beck, Ol Dirty Bastard, Nirvana, and The Clash. I could yammer on and on about music forever. Since I've been living here, I've seen Primus 3 times, The Melvins, Tech Nine, Bowievision, Deftones, Black Flag, Mastodon, Tomahawk, Black Sabbath, Man Man, Future Islands, Nick Cave, Nine Inch Nails, Explosions in the Sky and Dethklok. I recently saw Deltron 3030 and Gwar for the first time. So far this year I've seen Primus and Faith No More. Eagles of Death Metal and Riot Fest in Chicago are next.

I'm a huge fan of stand up comedy and try to see as many live shows as I can. George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle, Robert Schimmel, and Louis CK are among my favorites.

I also play Xbox when time permits. I can go weeks without playing, but can also get sucked into a great game quickly.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm going to live, work, and where I'm going on vacation in 2015. Visiting family and friends in Texas and taking my first trip to Vancouver next month. I try my best not to leave Seattle between May and September because it feels like I'm wasting the great weather by going elsewhere. Trying to fit in a trip to Chicago and New Zealand this year as well.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a good time, regardless what I'm doing. I prefer a relaxed evening and have a blast on Saturdays but my friends prefer to blow off steam on Fridays.

if you haven't been to soul night (every other Friday or Saturday), do yourself a favor and go. But take some ear plugs so not every part of your body hurts the next day.

Once every quarter, I watch my friend perform for the Lake Union Concert Orchestra.
