My self-summary
In a lot of ways I'm a study in contrasts ... a small-town PEI farm boy who has chosen a big-city corporate career; a closet introvert who will volunteer to strap on the hula gear if the situation calls for it; the guy with the reserved persona at work who loves goofing around with his friends. Through it all, I do my best to keep a positive outlook on things and be my regular, happy-go-lucky self.
What I’m doing with my life
Having finished school for good, I've found a career that makes it easy to get out of bed in the morning. I spend my "me" time with a foolish and special group of people I'm fortunate to call my friends and family. You're also very likely to see me playing some kind of sport a couple of nights a week to keep me active and sane.
I’m really good at
Song lyrics - whether it's a night out at karaoke, a campfire or out on a dance floor, I'm likely belting out the words to whatever song is being played. I'm also a decent athlete and have been told I'm a good listener.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I've hidden the east coast accent I had while growing up.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I've always loved a good historical or political biography. Recently I've been switching between the Game of Thrones series or insider accounts of the recent financial crisis.

Movies: The Dark Knight, Braveheart, Inglorious Basterds, The Bourne Ultimatum.

Shows: Whatever is on HBO. Modern Family, Shameless and The Daily Show are also good ways to pass the time.

Music: I'll listen to just about anything, but rock, hip-hop and country top the list. I could listen to any of Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Chiddy Bang or Brad Paisley all day.

Food: Open to trying new things, but nothing beats a good surf and turf with homemade potato salad (did I mention I grew up on PEI?). My go-to dish for a cook-off are ribs with homemade bbq sauce.
The six things I could never do without
Skates and a hockey stick in the winter
My new iPhone (can't believe it took me so long to switch)
My beach back home during the summer
A job that keeps challenging me
A host of memories from the good times I've had along the way
The family and friends I've made those memories with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I'll find the next opportunity and/or how I'll tackle the next challenge that life throws my way.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either catching up with friends over a drink or unwinding during a quiet night in at home. During the winter it's more of the latter as I coach little kids hockey on Saturday mornings and they can get kinda loud 😉
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm an unabashed grandma's boy. And real estate-based reality television can be oddly entertaining ...
