My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's get out and bike, and turn over car culture and sprawl. I am an atheist, proud and simple. Not a nun-hating religious trauma case, but a simple atheist. I'm also liberal and vote (D) consistently. I need more book readers in my life, and desire to be a book reader in theirs.

I'm a feminist, and I love feminist women.

--an expansion on that theme: social justice--

I am an intersectional feminist. Feminism is the central plank of my social justice beliefs, and I believe it is a useful model that can be expanded to fit most social justice concerns. I am also informed by preference utilitarianism, as well Rawls beliefs about justice.

I am anti-racist, support gay rights, as well as stronger recognition and support for asexual and non-monogamous persons.

Oh, and I am on the as autism spectrum, found out at age 38.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in the bowels of a large academic research library. I am increasingly moving into the world of atheist activism. Eventually I hope we can improve the quality of public policy and personal self-actualization by marginalizing non-rational beliefs.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Bending simple code to my aims. Leveraging tedium. Obsessing over parmesan ice cream.

I tend to avoid having favorites, but I'll do what I can. Usually my feelings about things sufficiently interesting to engage me are too multidimensional for single-axis rankings.

_Blindsight_, Peter Watts
Alastair Reynolds is really firing at the top of his game these days.
Nick Harkaway wrote The Gone-Away World which is a must
The short works of Fritz Leiber are also really good, as I've been rediscovering of late. Space-Time for Springers!! All hail the sacrifice of Gummitch.

Children of Men, Alfonso Cuaron -- I saw this in a free preview and really enjoyed it a lot. Enough that I could stand to see it again.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Probably out with friends, maybe getting an outing together. I could be catching up with Netflix if nothing else is up.

Sometimes, however, my cat sends me on secret missions. I can't tell you about them.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I default to assuming all relationships start from polyamorous settings. Negotiations regarding specifics start from this frame. Broadly, I am sympathetic to concerns that exclusivity assumptions are unfortunately propertarian.
