My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Randall. I solve problems (mostly with computers but sometimes without). I grew up travelling around the U.S. and Europe and finally ended up in NYC. I get really excited about space, science and technology.

I spend most of my time traveling around the world for work. Beyond that I have a lot of random hobbies that I pursue as frequently as I'm able.

I pretend to be super rational most of the time but my friends would say that I'm secretly an over-the-top romantic... I like big random gestures of kindness and adventure. I also like sunshine and puppies. This side of me may not be immediately apparent.

Fellow xenophiles would (hopefully) enjoy my company. I like foreign: food, culture, language and people. So if you want to go traveling one weekend then you should send me a message.

I'm also fairly quiet by nature. At a music festival or something it's totally fine to be wild and rambunctious but in everyday life I'm much more sedate and enjoy the company of those who are similarly calm... I do, occasionally, love to throw all that aside and be silly.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I like science and technology and want to contribute to those two things for the rest of my life.

I have two main concrete goals in life (both have not changed since I was 5):
1. go to space.
2. own a firetruck.

I have several other goals but just about everything I do is mostly in pursuit of those first 2 goals.

If I had my dream job I would be a yacht-delivering-firetruck-driving-startup-consulting astronaut.

How about you :)?

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Rationality and Reason
- Teachers
- NASA, ESA, or some space agency somewhere.
- The Internet
- Books
- People to share adventures with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why more efficient data-structures and algorithms aren't prevalent in my everyday life...? especially grocery store lines, airplane boarding, table waiting, city planning, and bar tending.

How the past is a story we tell ourselves and how depending on what kind of mood you're in that story can be enjoyable or soul crushing.

Why we seem to enjoy things that are imperfect far more than things that are perfect?

How much better it is to share certain things with other people and how I can find the right people to share moments with?

Why I'm on a dating website?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
One Friday I went skiing with my friends at 2am because someone had the audacity to claim that "nothing good happens after 2am."

After I got out of the ER I conceded that rarely do good things happen after 2am... on ski-slopes.

Statistically speaking, if English is not your first language we're more likely to get along.
