My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Gay isn't really my identity, but it'll have to do until they have "queer" or "fierce femme" as an option. I identify as a queer, kinky, non-monogamous Femme krip . For those who are really into it, I'm an ENFJ and a 2. Very much a 2.

I host the every-other-monthly queer kinky Denver play party Spanktrum. Check out for more info or message me.

I'm a passionate, progressive open minded person. I am sassy, feisty, endearing, awkward, amusing, filter-less, intellectual, witty, and much more. I am involved in a lot of anti-racist and anti-oppression work. I will call you out on your systemic and linguistic racism, ableism, ciscentrism, heterocentrism, sizeism, etc and expect others to do the same when I fuck up.

I have my Master's in Human Sexuality Education . I just started working on my PhD in Social Work at the University of Denver. Main interests include looking at discrimination/harassment/victimization in trans*/GNC communities, looking at able bodied privilege/creating sex neutral or positive sex education for communities of disability, and feminist identified sex worker communities.

I love love love to read. I own over a thousand books, and have read the majority of them multiple times. If you can't get a hold of me, it is likely that I'm somewhere reading. I also like art galleries, museums, nice dinners (total foodie who has been vegetarian for 22+ years), volunteering, and getting all dressed up. Intelligent conversation turns me on that almost anything else.

I actually identify as queer, in that I like people in general...however, I'm primarily attracted to women (trans, cis and other), trans masculine folks and those that don't fit in boxes (gender queer folk, fem men, butches, bois, trans guys, etc). I am a, I'm not straight. I'm sick of being invisible.

I'm a self-admitted chocoholic. Dark or bittersweet is the best. In addition, I love to cook, though I'll admit, I do bake out of a box. I own a pasta maker, a fondue pot, cheese slicers, among other random kitchen things.

I'm a vegetarian, but not the preachy type; don't tell me what I should eat, and I won't tell you what you shouldn't.

I'm always up for trying something new, and can be times, but am a very caring person. I'm a romantic at heart... but one that is easy to please and not traditional. Just a message on my pillow or a cupcake on a tough day is enough to make me swoon.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a professional sex educator, and am going to school full time for a doctorate in social work, looking at sexuality of marginalized communities.

I also have cats named Kinsey, Kali and Jasper. They are our babies and I love them (all rescues). Kinsey is all black and thinks he's a dog. Kali is a purebred (but rescued!) Toyger, and a bit of a diva. Jasper is a grey Maine Coon and a total attention hog. Kinsey is a bit of a homosexual cat, Kali a dominant femme, and Jasper is a drag queen. If you don't like cats, we can't be friends. Sorry, they are that important to me.

So far, I've published a book on cunnilingus (with no partner pronouns) and have a lesbian sex and sex positions book, and a choose your own adventure styled book on women's sexual knowledge. I also write erotica (yes, it's been published) and a sex advice column for Out Front Colorado.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Giving (and getting) back massages, cooking, cuddling, listening, being random, dancing, theatrical stuff, writing sex columns, giving advice, reassuring people, listening, reading...that's the actual things. I'm also good at confusing people, being crazy, making a fool of myself and having an overall, general friendlyness.

Also, I'm good at writing, especially on sexuality centric issues. I also am good at discussing breaking the gender binary, gender identity, sex worker rights, body acceptance, queer identities and groups, intersections of identities, social constructions and more. Deep conversations turn me on!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, because they change colors with my moods; some combo of green, hazel, grey, amber, brown, and so on. My hair, which changes colors. It has been red, black, blue, purple, pink (accidentally...I'm allergic to pink), burgundy, blonde, and many combos of the former.

I also have several tattoos. Currently 8, because I just got an adorable femme bibliophile octopus! One is for me, one is a memorial for my father, one is a literary quotation, one is a celebration of sexuality, one is my Femme spiral, one is a tree in red and black and one a memorial for my uncle and grandmother. People notice them depending on what outfit I'm wearing.

Oh, I guess I have some piercings. So far, just 7 in my ears/cartilage (4 are stretched to 6g). I've had others, but I've taken them out.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
A) I love fantasies and mysteries, mostly stuff by Anne McCaffery, Tamora Pierce, Terry Pratchett, Agatha Christie, Lillian Jackson Braun, Rita May Brown, Rex Stout, Emily Cornwell, etc. I enjoy almost any kind of book, except for Horror. I also like the Redwall Series *reverts back to childhood*. I had a hedgehog named Ambrose Spike. I don't miss him that much....Don't tell me to read Cunt; I've read it, thought it was ok, but I was upset by a lot of her assumptions. I also liked reading Opening Up and Whipping Girl. Other favorites include "Naked on the Internet," "Indecent; How I Make it and Fake it as a Working Girl," "Trans-liberation," "Femme," and PoMoSexuals. The Harry Potter series had a huge role in my life...and sometimes still does.

B) I don't watch many in the theater, but some of my favorites include Kinsey, Love Actually, Coming Soon, Rocky Horror, Monty Python, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Everything you wanted to know about sex *But were afraid to ask, RENT, American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine, the LOTR series, Harry Potter, the Princess Bride, Shark Attack 3: Megalodon, Der Untergang, Mrs. Henderson Presents, But I'm A Cheerleader; the list goes on. I hated Napoleon Dynamite. I also LOATHE The Big Lebowski. I felt I was losing brain cells as I watched it. After 20 minutes or so, I had to shut it off.

C) Buffy for life. The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Poirot Investigates, Masterpiece Theatre, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Defiance, Sherlock, Elementary. They tend to cancel a lot of shows I like; Dead Like Me, Numb3rs, etc.

D) Anything. Seriously. I dislike some rap and most country (my dog died, my wife left me, my truck broke), but I have a very eclectic taste. My play list has everything from Adele, Florence + the Machine, Billy Idol, Flogging Molly, Trans Siberian Orchestra, the Killers, the Smashing Pumpkins, Wallflowers, Pearl Jam, the Pixies, Modest Mouse, Sugarcult, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Lorena McKennet, Cirque, and Enya to Moxy Fruvous, the Cure, the Divinyls, Nancy Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, Carly Simon, TOOL, Donna Summers, Gogol Bordell, Amy Winehouse, Mystical, Outkast, Junior Senior and more. A lot more. I am all for listening to whatever sounds good, and not just going for genres. German music wise, I like Wir Sind Helden, Fettes Brot, Die Toten Hosen, Herbert Grundmeyer, Schnappi and Juli.

E) Chocolate is number one. I also am a HUGE food fan, but only good food. I'll try anything vegetarian, and LOVE 'ethnic food' (READ: Indian, Middle Eastern, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, German, basically anything). I like sesame tofu, raad na, dolmades, falafel, saag paneer, yakisoba, kappa maki, inari, and above all, CHOCOLATE. Also a HUGE tea drinker. Like, fresh brewed, loose tea. Mmmmm. If I had to live on one food for the rest of my life, it would be sushi probably. There are so many yummy (and non-fish for my vegetarian self) types.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Intellectual conversation.
2) Cats, cause they help with my sanity.
3) My amazing partners and chosen family/friends.
4) Books, which I'm reading all the time.
5) The internet, because it's how I stay in contact with people, and it's a big part of my jobs. Sad, perhaps.
6) Delicious veggie food in general...such a foodie!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Over-analyzing EVERYTHING.

I am always wondering why people do what they do (I WAS a sociology major). Especially in regards to how they treat others.

And sex. I mean, it IS what I do with my life (talk about it, not have it...thought that's always good too). And sexuality. And gender. And the social constructions and norms that go with them.

And how to be read as queer when you're a Femme in a primary, consensually non-mongamous relationship that looks straight to outsiders.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with my partner and/or friends (dancing, tea, coffee, museum, adventures, etc), speaking at an event or workshop, curled up in bed with my cats and a good book, or on the couch with a glass of wine/cup of tea and a good movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm very open about sex/sexuality and that scares a lot of people. If that answer doesn't cut it for you, feel free to ask me anything, and I shall then decide if I feel like answering that particular question from that particular person.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a fun loving person that is interested in social justice, human rights, kink, queerness, etc. I'm just looking for some intellectual people with a great senses of humor, who are fun to hang out with, open to new things, and are also able to have a serious conversation upon occasion. Let me know if you're that kind of person.

I only tend to friend people who have feminist or humanist politics, who aren't douche nozzles, who are pro-choice, pro-sex worker rights, pro equality, etc. If you're an ass hat, I don't wanna be your friend.

***NOTE: I am currently in a long term, amazing partnership with the most amazing, caring, witty, hot, wonderful, amusing person/kitty daddy ever. I'm looking for friends, good conversation, adventurers, etc, and maybe some hot dates and fierce flirting, but don't have the spoons for another long term partner at this time ***

That is all. Voila.
