My self-summary
I am a neophiliac.

I'm a leftist, too.

In matters of music I am experimental but not promiscuous.

I appreciate nature much more than I enjoy it.
What I’m doing with my life
To pay the bills I represent injured workers. I believe it was John Lennon who said, "A workers' comp lawyer is something to be."

For diversion I read, I rant, and I watch Mexican telenovelas dubbed into Arabic.
I’m really good at
writing personal profiles on online dating sites.

Playing old Dylan songs on the guitar.

Giving back massages.
The first things people usually notice about me
Honestly, I hardly ever ask, so I have no idea.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A non-representative sample of musical artists: Leonard Cohen, Sinéad O'Connor, Nino Bravo, Wayne Shorter.

Regarding books:

For proselytizing purposes, I usually recommend Image and Reality of the Israel-Palestine Conflict by Norman Finkelstein and 23 Things They Don't Tell You About Capitalism by Ha-Joon Chang.

A Picture of Dorian Gray is the funniest book I've read, at least the parts that are intended to be humorous. Tender is the Night is the best-written, at least of those that come to mind. The Comedians and The Quiet American may be the most poignant.

Mexican food is really, really good. So is diner breakfast food.

These aren't my opinions, but rather objective facts.
The six things I could never do without
I assume this means things apart from basic necessities and the well-being of friends and loved ones, and that the idea is to focus more on (slightly) less universal things like coffee, or political discussions, or music on headphones, or time to walk around and collect my thoughts. I like all of those things a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Palestine. Climate change. Imperialism. Whether the people of this country will ever mobilize to do anything about Palestine, climate change, and imperialism.

Also, sex.
On a typical Friday night I am
drinking red wine and preaching to the choir.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
These answers were far from spontaneous.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–40
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you've read this far, and you would never describe yourself as 'unpretentious.'
