A few of my favourite things: thunderstorms, books, camping, canoeing & then camping, being open-minded, stimulating conversation, tattoos, movies, music, animals, olives, wild blueberries, dark chocolate.

I prefer pubs to dance bars, beer to hard liquor, sneakers to heels, liberals to conservatives, alternative to r&b.

I am curious about everything, laughing about most things, and passionate about life.

Working at a job I love and I can listen to music all day while I do it!

I try to learn everything I can about things that interest me which could be almost anything so I'm always researching something.

Lately I've been interested in the safety/longevity of our food system and the well-being of factory raised food animals, so I've been doing research and writing emails to the government encouraging them to strengthen and/or change legislation in these areas....

Smiling, walking fast, napping, talking to animals, doing research, procrastinating, proofreading, reading, thinking, being introspective, empathizing, singing (depending on the song), saying what I think.

I have my eyebrow pierced, but I've been told it suits me.

I look people in the eye, which I didn't realise until someone told me it was making them uncomfortable :), oops.

I smile easily and often.

Food: I'm primarily vegetarian but I don't eat dairy and I do eat fish about once a month. Favourite restaurants are of the Thai, Veitnamese, Sushi, Vegetarian/Vegan variety, but I can find something to eat in almost any type of restaurant.

Family/friends, curiosity/wonder, music/books/other media, the natural world, time alone.

What humans have done to the environment, the meaning of life, missing the ocean (I'm from the Maritimes), being fully vegetarian/vegan or not, how much I like fried eggs & fish (not at the same time), if everyone has something they're meant to be doing or if that's only for special people or maybe it's bull...

Happy it's the weekend, watching movies or hanging out with friends.

I love potatoes in any form and I have a mild fear of public washrooms...
