My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm pretty bad at these things, so forgive me if it ends up a rant on the practice of forcing people to categorize and critique themselves...

My name is Remy. I was born into a military family, so we moved around quite a bit. When I was growing up, my father instilled in me a deep, fanatical love for science fiction, especially Star Wars and Star Trek. Later on in life, I found Doctor Who and finally found someone else who wore bow ties.
I've graduated from college with two Bachelor's Degrees; a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Law & Society. I hope to go to grad school to become a clinical psychologist, but I need to take the GRE first, which I'm not looking forward to.
I have a terrible habit of wanting things I can't have. It's been an issue...
I've recently become enamored with Steampunk, and although I have the artistic capability of an infant, would like to eventually make myself a clockwork sewing machine, as that's the only thing I can think of with enough moving parts to be worth making it out of clockwork, outside of clocks, which I have enough of.
Glitter disturbs me.
I spend a lot of time on this site answering questions, mostly because I'm really, really bored. Can't blame anyone but myself for that, though.
I'm bored with this already, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm an open book with some passages obscured by wine or redacted for national security.

Oh, and I don't mind if you message and just say "Hello". That's how people start conversations, isn't it? And stressing about saying something more just makes me not want to talk to anyone, so I want to save you the stress.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Absolutely nothing, at the moment.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sleeping, eating, sleeping again, random trivia, writing research papers, sleeping once again, playing saxophone, cooking, gardening, amongst other things...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm very tall, or so I've been told. I just think everyone else is painfully short.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Anything fantasy-oriented. R.A. Salvatore and J. R. R. Tolkien are among my favorites. I also enjoy anything steampunk-y, as well as some Science Fiction stuff. Neil Gaiman is one of my favorites. It honestly doesn't get any better than American Gods and Neverwhere. I'll read textbooks on mythology and religion, and indeed consider myself an idiot savant concerning Greek and Roman mythology. I hate Twilight. And I don't mean in the "Oh, all the other boys and girls like it, so I'll hate it to stand out" way. I hate it with a passion that borders on the absurd. I get annoyed when people even mention it. I've been in more arguments about it than I care to remember, and each and every one of them made me want to merge my opponent's skull with the nearest object. I do not like that book.

Movies: Of course, science fiction, horror, and comedy. If only there was a movie that combined all three... And didn't suck. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is perhaps my favorite movie, although I'm often torn between that one and several others. For instance, there's a movie called Little Fish, Strange Pond that I find hilarious, and I really enjoy that one as well. I dig musicals, Sweeney Todd more than most. I love that morbid stuff. There's another Indie movie called May that I actually find very sweet. It's also the only movie to agree with my perception of zombies, although they weren't zombies in that instance.

Music: I'm an oldies fan. Elvis Presley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, KISS, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Zombies, Johnny Cash (on occasion), and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia: is a guilty pleasure. More recently, I'll say that I'm a huge fan of Voltaire, Ludo, The Dresden Dolls, Avenged Sevenfold, Flogging Molly, Coheed and Cambria, Flyleaf (Again, on occasion. I don't like the Christian shit, but the singer's voice is immaculate.), Halestorm, and pretty much anything else with a rocky feel and a female singer. Linkin Park is the band I feel brought modern rock to my attention. I'm a big alternative fan.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Science Fiction-Doctor Who, Torchwood, Star Trek, Star Wars, Caprica, Stargate Universe, Warehouse 13, Orphan Black, amongst several hundred others. I'm also big into anime, and while there's a good bit of science fiction there as well, I'm more into the horror or supernatural aspect of those.

Books-Anything that can keep my attention for the duration of the book. I hate setting a book down before finishing it.

Glasses (So I can read those books!)

Numerous pillows (Mattresses are unnecessary with the proper amount of pillows)

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Zombies, abandoned places that I'd like to visit and/or claim as my own, animals, clinical psychology, continuing my schooling, how bored I am, the fact that I'm completely ignorant of other people checking me out (Luckily, other people notice for me...)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sleeping, or tormenting villagers.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Oooh, I finally came up with something! I am absolutely not one to make the first move. I feel that this has limited my dating experiences. Oh, and I've never been drunk.

You can phrase your message as a limerick. I won't respond, otherwise.

That's not true. It's rude not to respond, but I'll be happier if I get to read a limerick.
