I am just going to be up front and say that talking to you doesn't necessarily mean I want to date you. At this point in my life I am looking for a relationship that will last, not just a temporary fling. There is no sense in settling for simply being in a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship. Life is too short to waste time being with the wrong person, and so if that person turns out to not be you, don't take it personally. Being the right person doesn't mean you have a ton of money, or are some supermodel in terms of looks. A relationship is a matter of the heart, and so I listen to that.
The best analogy for the whole dating thing that I've ever read was that it is akin to two people dancing: the caveat being that they are both blind and partially deaf. You can't tell if the other is dancing to the same music as you or if they're even dancing at all. Bonus points if you can name the book that is from!
Trends come and go, and as we learn new things and grow from our mistakes, we change. Besides, I am sure you've already read the same basic fanfare about two hundred times in all the other profiles on here. That being said, I believe that actions speak louder than words, and the point of this website is to meet people who would give you a roaring good time, right?
I used to be hesitant about the thought of meeting someone in person that I first encountered on here. Then it occurred to me that the only difference between meeting someone online as opposed to say, running into someone at a library, bar, or in the elevator, is that when you meet in public, you really have no clue who they are or what kind of things they would be interested in. Meeting people on here, on the other hand, gives you that little bit of familiarity with them that blindly running into someone in public wouldn't. For example, There is no Questions and Personality pages floating magically above people's heads out in public. Only in the wonderful world of Cyberspace does that happen.
I tend to surround myself with optimistic people who are going somewhere in life, and no, I don't mean the local Wal-Mart during Black Friday. I'm very open-minded with a worldwide (and occasionally galaxy-wide) outlook; a risk- taker who is always up for a new adventure. Seriously, there is so much out there waiting to be explored! I love dogs, cats, those little dog-like things that shiver even in the summertime (I think they're called Chupacabras? No...that can't be right), beaches, meaningful and intellectual conversations, carefree and fun banter, self improvement, self effacing, being a daredevil, flash mobs, and occasionally hopping on a ferry and pretending I'm Davey Jones of the Briny Depths!... okay, maybe more than occasionally.
I like to keep very busy every day of my life and enjoy each moment of it. Honestly, I don't have the time or inclination
to date everyone under the sun anymore. That being said, I do love meeting new people. I am pretty selective in that I know what I am looking for in someone that could become more than a friend. Mind you, there is nothing wrong with friendship! I am just fine if I don't meet anyone on here... BUT, if you're that awesome someone special, I'd love to partake in making our already great lives that much better.
Here is a fun fact: I get hiccups whenever I am happy.
I have been working on getting my PC and smartphone service business off the ground and working a couple day jobs to help make it happen. In my free time I enjoy going to shows, being in shows, or goofing around with friends with whatever instruments are on hand. Aside from music and geeking out, I like building and spinning poi, hoops and staff with friends. Swimming, hiking, climbing, and exploring the wildly different climates and landscapes of this state, and enjoying the rich variety and flavors of experiences that come with living a social life!
"That's what she said" jokes.
Laughing and making others laugh!
Spontaneously singing to songs I've never heard, and making up lyrics because I don't know the proper ones.
Finding myself being that guy that people go to when they need advice, a shoulder to cry on, or need something done.

I also listen to On The Edge Radio from the time I get off work, until midnight religiously on Sundays. You get extra kudos if you do too, or even know what I am talking about.

2. My corporeal form
3. Pretty much everything that has happened in that past which has culminated in me becoming who I am
4. The notion that despite maps, GPS's, and radar, that the world is still largely unexplored
6. Viewing the world through the window of a Moebius painting.
Such as, if Schrödinger is to be blamed for why cats have such a peculiar obsession with boxes, or if he merely stumbled upon a means for cats to mitigate their 8 extra lives. I sometimes wonder if his thought experiment would have been different had he considered using transparent Tupperware instead.
How the malicious the sun can be during the months of December through February. Presenting these warm, inviting scenes of the outdoors through our windows. Trying to lure us out into the cold without proper attire.
I also find it humbling that even in our corporeal, or completely physical state, we are nothing but a vast collection of spheres of dissonant energy, separated from energy in all its other forms, though still nothing truly and ultimately "tangible". Yet, this is simply our lowest and basest of density degrees according to many elder schools of philosophy. It's definitely food for thought.
Often I wonder why is it that people cry when they are sad. They should find something that makes them laugh instead. It ends up making you feel happier in 15 minutes than crying ever did in 15 days.
I am not big on being online pen-pals, or texting buddies either. I prefer to meet people and actually interact with THEM, not a computer screen. So if you have no interest in ever seeing one another's faces, hearing one another's voices, getting to know one another on a deeper level, and actually having fun together, then why bother?
You have an advantage over the people I meet every day on the street, at work, in parks, at bars, etc.., which is that you have this whole profile at your disposal.
