I am awkwardly fun and have the ability to be really goofy in comfortable settings. I'm pretty funny, however I am quite sure I think I am funnier than I actually am in the eyes of others. I am okay with this.
I have a pair of shoes that I have had since I was 14 and I still wear them sometimes. In fact I am wearing them in my profile pic!
I started getting gray hair at nineteen years old... 19!! So, thanks to some horrible genetics I dye my hair to cover up the ridiculously uncool gray hair. Did I need to specify uncool?
I have a daughter who is in 5th grade. She is amazing and hilarious and probably the most incredible thing I have ever done.
I adore music and love finding new bands to listen to and new genres to explore.
I am an open-minded and tolerant person and hope to find someone who also shares these traits ;)
What I’m doing with my life
In relation to work, I am working as a full-time embalmer at a
funeral home and am planning to work towards getting my funeral
directors license next year. Also, I am a full-time mom. So, yep...
that's pretty much what I am doing. Haha!
I’m really good at
I am really good at empathizing with others in any given situation
and because of this I am a really caring, understanding and overall
awesome person. I am really good at looking at the positive side of
things - I have a very "glass-half-full" mentality. I am really
good at remembering song lyrics. I am pretty good at diffusing
situations of conflict. I think I am a pretty darn good mom.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure... I feel like this really depends on who is looking
at me. Most likely it would be my random fashion choices. I really
have my own style and it is really, entirely based off of the
things that I feel comfortable in. To clarify, this does not mean
that I wear only sweats or that I go about my day wearing my
pajamas.. It just means I wear clothing that suits me and makes me
feel happy, confident, and comfortable.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
So many favorites... but I will try. Here goes!

Dean Koontz, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, LOTR by Tolkien
and - judge if you will - Harry Potter series by J.K.
Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Amelie, Casablanca, Juno, Book of
Eli, Eternal Sunshine..., Little Miss Sunshine, Jurassic Park, Evil
Dead 2, Shaun of the Dead, United States of Leland, Howl's Moving
Castle, The Neverending Story, The Goonies, and so many
TV: Dexter, Glee, Arrested Development, Pushing Daisies, Breaking
Bad, Psych, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Buffy, Firefly,
Freaks and Geeks, Six Feet Under, The Twilight Zone and The
Music: Mainly Indie rock/alternative stuff... Death Cab for Cutie,

Frightened Rabbit, Mumford and Sons and lots of 90's alternative
stuff like Bush, Everclear, etc. Also, whatever might be playing on
the radio. I don't listen to much Rap or Hip Hop, however, I am
always open to listening to new stuff!
Food: Yep, I like food... allll kinds of food.
The six things I could never do without
- My family (especially my daughter)
- My friends
- My car
- Cafe Rio's barbacoa pork tacos. Yep. SO good.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sometimes I think about what I think animals are thinking.
Sometimes I think about why I am who I am and why I exist. I guess
I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about only one thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with my friends. We might have a BBQ, or go out to a
movie, or maybe just stay in and watch tv.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am not really that private about things... most things I am
willing to share pretty quickly. Here's a wacky one! I have a
phobia related to things being around my neck. I can't wear turtle
necks or shirts with tight collar areas, I can't wear most
necklaces, and if a person looks like their hand is going towards
my throat I will slap at them lamely and duck away like a crazy
person. No idea why... but as far as phobias go it is not so bad ;)
You should message me if
I have intrigued you at all... ask questions, I am happy to share
