I am technomadic, visionary, and optimistic.
My Self-Summary
Technomad.
Geek.
Pilot. Adventurer.
Revolutionary.
NOTE: My partner MaCherie1973 and I are traveling the
country in an uber-cute & uber-small solar-powered trailer, so
our OKC profile location is prone to change frequently. If you see
me pop up in a search, please drop a note and say hi! It is always
great to meet interesting people as we go, and OKC's mathemagical
matching has proven to be a good tool for doing so.
Right now, we are working our way from San Diego towards
Coffeyville, KS - where we intend to spend a month trying out
seasonal work-camping in Amazon's mega-distribution center.
Other summary bits:
I love the sense of three dimensional freedom I get while
flying. I have my
private pilots license, and I am learning paragliding -- perhaps the most raw
form of flight possible. I also strap a motor to my back on
occasion and zoom around in what looks like a flying lawn chair
hanging from a giant yellow banana. Sadly - I can't take
passengers.
I've been going to Burning Man since 1999. It is the most
amazing convergence of creativity on earth, and I can go on for
hours sharing about it. Two years ago, I was on the playa for over
two weeks and helped build a gigantic gothic cathedral.
I am out to change the world...
But I intend to have a great time along the way...

What I’m doing with my life
Technomadically roaming the world, looking for adventure and
enlightenment.
I’m really good at
Seeing the big picture. No - the even bigger one. Nope, zoom out
some more. More still. Keep going. And so on...
I have a fabulous ability to see what is possible, and I am
learning how to be a bridge between the realm of what is possible
and the in-the-moment truth of what is real, now.
I've also gotten really good at towing and backing up with a
trailer.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tend to notice my eyes, or how touchable the shirts I tend
to wear are. (Petting is encouraged!)
I've also been growing my hair out for the past two years, and it
is long, straight, and silky.
And of course, people do tend to notice that I am often driving
around with a small solar-powered fiberglass home on wheels
following behind me. That tends to be a great conversation starter.
*grin*
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Overall, I tend to like "anything passionate and honest". If it is
created with attention to detail and love, I am open to
experiencing it - and I will probably love it.
Books:
The Way of the Superior
Man,
The
Ethical Slut,
Atlas Shrugged,
Zen
and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, everything by
Vernor Vinge, lots of
random good SciFi, and I always love good travel stories.
Music:
Rush (Neil
Peart's lyrics!),
Blues Traveler,
U2 Gaia Consort,
Ben Lee,
Moxy Fruvous,
Joules Graves,
U2, more...
Movies:
Nausica,
Wizard of Speed and
Time, The Matrix, Aliens,
Cinema Paradiso, more... When I
saw the view of the earth from the Space Shuttle in IMAX 3D, I
cried.
Foods: Easier to describe what I don't like... No seafood,
mushrooms, and lately rarely any meat. I do particularly LOVE
Mexican, and Thai, and Indian. Yum!
The six things I could never do without
Six things??? How about six things that I want...
Give me:
+ Wireless global broadband access with unlimited data and
voice.
+ A rugged ultra-portable laptop with great battery life.
+ A backpack full of travel necessities.
+ A credit card that never needs to be paid off.
+ A PDA filled with contact info for friends and family around the
world willing to host me for a week or two.
+ And... interesting travel partners!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Community. Travel. Love. Sex. Gadgets. Technology. The
future.
Often I tend to be wondering where to go and who to see next...
On a typical Friday night I am
Which day is Friday??? What does 'typical' mean????
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I actually used to work as a spy. To gather up information, I
traveled the world, used strange exotic gadgets, and I learned all
sorts of secrets by persuading folks to talk who were really not
supposed to.
(And no, I am not kidding... Ask me if you want details!)
I identify as
polyamorous and have a committed
primary partner who is also polyamorous, and we mutually support
each other in exploring other relationships in whatever form they
may take.
One other thing - I do not identify as completely straight, though
the majority of my attractions do tend to be for women.
You should message me if
You would like to show off your slice of the universe to some cool
nomads passing through...
We tend to be based for extended periods of time either in the SF
Bay Area, Black Rock City, St. Louis (MO), and Central Florida. We
are always looking to broaden the cool communities that we know in
each place.
PS: I tend to only sporadically hop into OKC, so please don't be
offended if it takes me a while to respond.
