My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This doesn't constitute a self-summary, per se, but one thing I've come to learn about myself is that I have a pretty zany energy. I'm often trying to enlist people in harebrained schemes and minor misadeventures. It would be great to date someone who will get pie with me at 2 in the morning or create a music video remake of Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music (recently rewatched The Sound of Music and that montage might be the happiest of all montages to ever hit the screen) or spontaneously enact an infomercial for, oh I don't know, a skywriting break up service.

What I want out of life is to be delighted. Delighted by food, by the company I keep, by the cultural experiences I consume. I realize that this isn't a particularly high brow aim but I'm cool with that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Reading, writing, thinking, diy projects, slowly getting a doctorate...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, Scrabble, editing, keeping in touch, headstands
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
East of Eden, I and Thou, Fun Home, Dykes to Watch Out For, Framing Dropouts, Mating (best ever female protagonist), Haroun and the Sea of Stories, The Science of Breath, The Phantom Tollbooth, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The God of Small Things, The Shipping News, Hateship Loveship Courtship Marriage, Heaven's Coast

Edward Scissorhands, The Squid and the Whale, Almodovar (Habla con Ella especially), Spike Lee, My Cousin Vinny, Brokeback Mountain, Harold and Maude, The Visitor, Man on a Wire, Frances Ha, Dog Day Afternoon, Benny and Joon, Finding Vivian Maier, the first two thirds of The Sound of Music

I love Louis CK so much. I don't know what to do with the feelings.

I don't want to make a list of music I like. I just don't feeeeel like it.

I love when people will junk out with me and eat buffalo wings and dirty pizza and french fries. But when I'm at home I eat things that make me feel like a Brooklyn stereotype like kale pesto and wheatberries.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The people I love

Honorable mentions: bicycle, cinammon sugar toast with the crust cut off (for days when everything bad happens)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Less is more. How do I turn more into less?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dancing? Reading? Writing? In the winter time: projects.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not the most private thing, but some embarrassing things that have happened to me recently:
After a really lovely ballet performance I fell, horrifically, on top of a piano.
The youngest person at my office told me in a gchat that something was the And so I went to that website and then I was like 'ooooohhhhh'.
I regularly mix up the following word pairs: photographic/ photogenic, astronomy/ astrology, capital/ corporal (as in capital punishment vs corporal punishment--I once did this in a undergrad class I was teaching and none of my students noticed!)
I've more than once lost my notebook in my freezer.

you are....quirky, creative, smartypants, GGG, can build/ fix things. Are you a pastry chef/ massage therapist, wood worker? That would work. (pun!)

you want to climb with me.
